The water dispenser is leaking and filling a glass of water every 20 minutes (constant drip). Also, water is leaking from the ice maker inside into the ice cube holder then freezing. One expert said it might be the fill valve. What is the part number I need and is it easy to install. Thank you for your help.... KitchenAid Superba side by side (manf. 10/00)(Model KSRB25FHSS04)

Refrigerator Water Dispenser Leaks?
Refrigerator Water Dispenser Leaks show that the refrigerator's water system has a problem. To fix this problem, open the filter compartment and pull out the filter and push it back in so that it is secure in place. Push compartment cover until it clicks.
When water leaks from the dispenser like this it will be caused by a defective water control valve that will not shut properly when off. The leaking water is the same as a leaking faucet. The KSCS25IN uses a=> W10247725-Water Control Valve or HERE Sea Breeze
The reason the water dispenser keeps dripping is because of a faulty water inlet that instead of fully closing yet it is staying open justa wee bit and seeping water through it. By replacing the water valve it will stop that drip. The part number for that water inlet valve is W10247725 it could be purchased at your local appliance parts store or online at; searspartsdirect.com apdepot.com repairclinic.com apwagner.com partselect.com
Hi,the leakage in your kitchen aid all the time is due to the fact that the water inlet valve of your refrigerator, hence water keeps dripping from the dispenser always.
The only solution to the problem,is to remove the back plate which covers the compartment at the bottom of the refrigerator and replace the water inlet valve.
However, the component part number for your model is; 4389177
i would definately change the filter
they are usually only good for 6 mos
or 400 gals
without knowing if its dripping from the housing
i would start with changing the filter and see if that takes care of it
i just checked and thesea re on sale
30.00 is pretty cheap
i used to sell these off my truck as a maytag guy
let me knoe
Your water inlet valve on the back where the
water supply comes in is probably leaking. disconnect the water line coming out
of it and see if you have a slow drip. Try the dispenser to see if it's just
drips after use.
The excess frost on the ice maker and bucket can be caused by the ice chute door not closing all the way or a leaky door gasket letting air in.

sounmds like you have air trapped in tothe line( formiong pressure behind the line whe nnot in use forcing water drops out, remove the crisper in the refrig campartmant and look for the holding tank either there an air bubble trapped in ther or you havea small leak allowing air inot the system, usually happen right after replacing the filter, instraed of trying to rnn 5 secs on 5 secs off, try with a bigger contaienr to allow constantly running for longer periods of time to hopefully force out the air bubble
there is a drip pan located underneath you ref but most likely your prob is a plugged drain line coming from the freezer. when you ref goes into automatic def the water doesnt run out into the drip pan but instead onto your floor..
you can clean the drain line by removing the rear cover in the freezer compartment and using hot water to thaw the drain below the evap coil.
