Question about Linksys IP TELEPHONY - VOIP RTR W/ 2 PHONE PTS Router (RTP300-NA)

Hi..i have a linksys voip 2pt adapter. My phone set keeps on going silent (i hear no tone). I tried going to the config menu but thewebpage never opens and it keeps on prompting me for user and pass (which i dont have). i have to manually reset the dsl connection sveral times and keep on punching **** 110# many times before i can use the phone. can u tell me what the problem is

If you are losing audio during a call, there is almost certainly a configuration issue. You are going to have to access the web GUI and correct the incorrect settings. If you plug an analog phone into one of the ports and dial ****, you will hear "configuration menu". Enter 73738#. It will tell you to enter 1 to confirm. Press 1. The unit will restart and you will be able to access the web utility using the default login/password. Do this only if you know what your settings need to be and you are capable of provisioning the device. This procedure will return the device to its factory default configuration. This will work assuming you have an unlocked voip adapter. If yours is locked by a service provider, there is a good chance you will not be able to default the adapter using this method.

doanload colosoft netscan, when you have it plugged into the network, run netscan on a computer thats on the same network....that'll find it for you, if that doesnt work give me the specs on the phone and ill check the manuels..

Hi Does anyone know if you are able to set the ringtone to silent and also the incoming message tone to silent (need it for work) on the Samsung F480 Thanks Elkay


In order to set the ring tone to silent you must turn the volume down to silent or vibrate. Go to phone in menu and check on sounds.

We have power but no internet or phone lights are coming on.


do you get dial tone if you lift phone handset?

If so, Do you hear the voice menu after pressing ****?
If not, please unplug the Ethernet cable, and press **** again, then check if you now hear the voice menu?

Just in case you are able to access the IVR, reset it back to factory default settings. Dial 73738# and press 1 to confirm the reset.

try this out
power on your linksys
then pick up the phone connected to that linksys
no dile tone required
dial ****
when it says configuration menu
type 73738#
if ask for password then nothing can help you buddy
and if it says press 1 to save then press 1 and your device is reset with factory default
