Most probably is the left click button not functioning properly. I suggest you to replace it with new mouse.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

When I click icon on my computer it reads page not found:404error

The shortcut on your desktop somehow has the wrong address. To create a new icon:
1) Open up your Web browser
2) In the browser's address bar, type "netflix.com"; that should take you to the Netflix site
3) If necessary, resize your browser window so that it's not taking up the whole screen
4) In the address bar, you should see the Netflix red "N" followed by http://www.netflix.com
5) Click and drag that red N to the desktop (if you don't know how to click and drag, it's: 1) point your mouse at the red N, 2) press and hold the left mouse button, 3) while still holding down the left mouse button, move your mouse to an empty spot on your desktop, 4) release the left mouse button)

Now you can delete the old icon
1) Right-click on the old Netflix icon
2) On the menu that pops up, click on "Delete"
3) If a box pops up asking if you want to delete, click the "Yes" button

How to force an Apple computer to eject a stuck CD or DVD

Most of us have experienced it at least one, and if it hasn't happened to you yet, it's just a matter of time: a damaged CD, a failed DVD burn, or an unrecognized disc just won't eject from the Apple computer's disc drive. Here's a simple solution to force that stubborn CD out. Note: this tip requires a restart, so be sure to save any open files before proceeding.

(1) Save any open files and documents and quit all open programs.
(2) Click on the Apple icon in the top-right corner of the screen and select "Restart."
(3) Click the "Restart" button on the message box that pops up.
(4) As soon as the screen turns black, before the computer begins rebooting, click and hold down the mouse button. See step 4(a) for more details about this step.
(4a) If you have an older model trackpad, click and hold the trackpad button. If you have the new, button-less trackpad, click and hold down the trackpad itself. If you have a two-button mouse, click and hold down the left mouse button. If you have a wireless Bluetooth mouse, click and hold the left mouse button (though you may not have success with the MagicMouse; use a wired USB mouse if you have one available).
(5) Keep the mouse button held down until the CD/DVD media is auto-ejected from the drive.

If the CD still remains stuck in the drive, there is a more serious problem at work, and the assistance of an authorized Apple technician will likely be required.

How can I delete empty folders (multiple) quickly and free?

Click on the main folder where you want to delete the sub folders.
Hold down the Ctrl key and move the mouse pointer over the folder you want to delete and select it by clicking on the left mouse button.
Continue holding down the Ctrl key and move the mouse pointer to the next folder your want to delets and click the left mouse button.
Repeat this to select all the folders your want to delete
These folders will be highlighted. If you selected the wrong folder just click it again with the left mouse button whilst holding down the Ctrl key..
When you are ready to delete the folders take your finger off the Ctrl key and then press the Delete key.
After deleting the folders and you have changed your mind then click on the Recycle Bin, you can then click on the folder you want to restore then click File - Restore.

Changed battery and still does not work - hear pinging in computer

There are buttons on the transmitter/receiver and the mouse(small red on bottom). Turn off the mouse. Plug in the USB Tx/Rx and hold down the button. Then press the red button on the mouse and hold for one second. Do this until the rapidly flashing light on the Tx/Rx slows down. The unit's frequencies are then encoded/decode and can communicate.

Mouse right click broken.

I too have the same issue but it is intermittent. As a temporary work around, I set up the side button to act as a left click. I have yet to find a way to get the mouse apart to see what's up and at $65 to replace, I don't want to bust it completely.
