Uniden uh012sx what amp fuse is in the power cord?

Hi Mike,

It's not in the actual power cord, but on the PCB inside the radio near the transformer, and from memory, the Australian model is around 1 .5 amps, but don't take that as gospel.

It should be about the same in other areas of the world accept those that use DC power supplies.

I hop that helps you.

Cheers,
Peter

SAMSUNG PLASMA POWER SUPPLY CLICKING.

If you have a Samsung Plasma PS50A550 which will keep clicking and not come on, the fault is in the power supply .Check Power supply if its a BN44_00222a. This PCB cost almost $ 300.00 can be fixed for around $ 30.
The fault is in the 5.3v supply to the T.Con PCB. On the Power supply check voltages.VS will not come on unless the T.Con pcb is active.
Check on printed circuit side of PCB on secondary side there are 3 IC close to one another. 2 IC'S are 8 pin and one is 16 pin. Replace both 8 pin reg IC (25h3ll ) these are available from RS components. Part number is STS25NH3LL. The 16 Pin IC is a L6725A but this is not faulty.
lets keep these good TV working for another 4 years.

Have a phillips 32inch lcd...turn it on and nothing happens seems like no power at all no lights no noises...tried other electronics in same outlet and it works... wondering if there is anything i can...

This is a common problem with lcd panel tv's. There is a problem with your power supply. Here are the steps you need to take.
1. Lay the tv face down on a cushioned table. Make sure the table is large enough to support the entire tv, You don't want to damage the panel.
2. Remove all the screws securing the back of the tv to the front.
3. Remove the back
4. Check the power supply pcb for puffed capacitors. If they are puffed, they need to be replaced.
5. Remove all connectors and screws from power supply pcb. This is the board where the power cord attaches.
6. Replace capacitors with equal or slightly greater valued capacitors. The values are marked on the capacitors in mfd and voltage.
7. You wil need a soldering iron to remove and replace them
8. Install the power supply pcb back into the tv and replace the connectors
9. Connect the power cord into the back of the tv and turn on.
10. Check to see if backlight comes on.
11. If it does, press menu button and lift tv up to see if you have an onscreen display. If you do the repair is complete.

If you don't you need to take a digital multimeter and check the voltage ouput from the connectors of the power supply pcb. Connect black lead of your meter to chassis ground and use the red lead and touch each individual pin to see if you have the correct voltage. The voltage levels are printed on the power supply pcb. If they are non existent, then you need to replace the power supply.
You said that you have no power light indicator led on the front panel at all. This tells me you have no standby voltage. Good luck and let me know how you make out

I have a Samsung LCD TV and it won't turn on

A common problem with samsung flat panel tv's is that the capacitors on the power supply fail.
You will need to remove the back and check the power supply pcb for puffed caps. To do this you will need to lay the tv face down on a cushioned surface and remove all the screws that secure the back of the tv. You will need a surface large enough to support the whole tv. This is to protect the panel. DO NOT place tv on surface where the front of the tv is not supported by the frame.

Remove the back of the tv and check for puffed caps on the power supply pcb. This is the board that the power cord is attached to.

If there are any puffed caps, you will need to replace them with equal or slightly higher valued caps. The value ratings are printed on the capacitors in mfd and voltage.

You will need a soldering iron to remove and replace them.

After reinstalling the power supply and before you put the back on, hook up a power cord to the tv and try turning it on. If you see a backlight come on, the tv is working. Try hitting the meny button and see if you have an on screen display. If you do put the back cover back on.

If tv doesn't power up, then the power supply pcb is probably bad. Try checking the voltage outputs from the connectors on the side of the pcb. Use a digital multimeter, connecting black lead to chassis ground and read lead to check voltage on the pins of the connectors. There should be voltage levels printed next to the connector on the pcb. Let me know if this helps you.

As soon as i plug in my 42' flat screen philips hd tv, it just starts making a clicking noise over and over!!!!!

It sounds like the relay on the power supply pcb. What make and model is it? You might want to check the power supply pcb capacitors to see if there are any that are puffed up. To do this you need to place the tv face down on a padded surface that will support the whole tv. This is to protect the panel from damage. Then remove all screws that are securing the back of the the tv. Remove the back and check the power supply pcb. This is the board with the power cord going to it. If they are puffed they need to be replaced with equal or slightly greated values. The values are mfd and voltage. You will need a soldering iron to remove and install the new caps. If caps look good, then check the voltage levels of the dc output (marked on board next to the connector) with a dc multimeter. If all the voltages are correct and constant, then your power supply is good. But, this does sound like a power supply issue

TV was unplugged for a little while and now won't power up and is making a buzzing sound. What can cause this?

How old is the tv? This is a power supply symptom. You will need to take the back of the tv off and check for puffed capacitors on the power pcb. This is the board where the power cord plugs into. Lay tv face down on a cushioned surface large enough to support the tv frame. You do not want to damage the panel. Then remove the back. If there are puffed capacitors, replace them with equal or slightly higher valued capacitors. The value rating for capacitors are mf and voltage, printed on the capacitors. If they look good, you will need to check the dc voltage output from the pcb usually about three connectors in the same area. One way or another, it is a power supply problem, usually corrected by replacing caps, but if that doesn't work, you will need to replace power pcb

Good Day;
Try these first. This TV is an oldie 1988?

POWER SUPPLY STARTS BUT WONT RUN. CHECK FOR SHORTED D909 OFF T905 PIN 17 AND/OR SHORTED IC401. (PCB-MAIN) D909 PT.# 264P521020 IC401 PT.# 272P174010 *** ( TO PREVENT REPEAT FAILURE , REMOVE T905 FROM PCB AND RE-SOLDER LEGS OF TRANSFORMER AND THEN REINSTALL) 2. POWER SUPPLY WONT RUN. CHECK FOR OPEN FOIL AT PIN 2 OF T905. (PCB-MAIN) 3. POWER SUPPLY WONT RUN. CHECK FOR OPEN R903 (220KOHM) AT PIN 3 OF IC901. (PCB-MAIN). ALSO CHECK THE VERTICAL OUT IC, LOOK IN POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT FOR LEAKY CAPS. YOU CAN TELL BY BLACKNESS ON THE BOARDS ON THE NEGATIVE SIDE OF THE CAPS.

Good Luck, big IRISH.

New Lamp turning off after 5 seconds

1. (Lamp may light and go out) suspect bad lamp part # 915P020010 2. Check for 12-volts DC at J-9 connector pin 4 on the Engine Driver PCB, if missing check for an open F9A09 on the Power PCB, if it is open replace F9A09 part # 283P127060 and the Light Engine part # 939P977010 3. (Lamp may light and go out) Check for 5-volts DC at J-9 connector pin 1 and 2 on the Engine Driver PCB if low or missing check C9A37 and C9A38 both 3300 UFD 10 V part # 181P732040 on the Power PCB (part # 930B921002) 4. At power on the lamp turns on and off three times and then the unit shuts down with a red lamp LED (lamp error). Replace the Light Engine part # 939P977010 5. Lamp enable line at J14 pin 6 does not switch to 5 volts after turn on, 12 and 5 volt supplies are good. Suspect the Light Engine part # 939P977010 6. Lamp enable line at connector J14 pin 6 on the Engine Driver PCB switches to 5 volts after turn on and does go to 0-volts (low) after 5 seconds, 12 and 5 volt supplies are good. Suspect the Lamp Power PCB (ballast) part # 939P978010 7. Lamp enable line at connector J14 pin 6 on the Engine Driver PCB switches to 5 volts after turn on but does not go back to 0-volts (low) after 5 seconds, 12 and 5 volt supplies are good.
