First of all, check your connections. You'll need to check that ALL cables which go into the monitor are hooked up correctly on both sides.

The other possibility is that your monitor is going out. The 21BA came out in 1996 and I actually used to have one. Mine went out ages ago. It might be a good idea to save up some cash for an LCD, if that is feasible for you.

I am using a lenovo all in one ideacentre computer. The screen goes black for a few seconds then comes back

The screen goes black then comes back. When it comes back are you able to use the computer without any problems? When does this happen? Most times during the boot process the screen will fade in and out.

If this is not happening when you boot the system it's possible that your lcd screen might be going bad so keep an eye on it.

I am stuck in the boot up process with the option

Look at the HDD (Hard Disk Drive) LED light...
Is it a steady red? Put your ear to the computer case. Do you hear a repeating clicking sound?
You should be able to press [F10] to get out of the BIOS Setup. If not, it may be a loose hard drive cable (open up the PC) or a failing Hard drive (replace).
