My manual doesn't give a table for a 1500 gallon pool. The smallest it shows is the 15x33 at 2587 gallons at which you'd at 65 pounds of salt. If you could possibly tell me how big your pool is I could look that up for you. If you don't have an intex pool, the formula is Gallons x 0.025 so about 37.5 pounds for your pool. then you'd add 10.05 pounds when the Low Salt light comes on.

To start it up, hold the down arrow until it beeps, hold the up arrow until it beeps. Now you're ready to set it (the 15x33 pool you'll run 1-2 hours a day) When you have the time set, hold the down arrow until it beeps and then the up arrow until it beeps. Now it should be set!

The Compupool CPSC/CPA Series is recommended to run at a salt concentration of 3500 ppm. If you are not installing a Compupool unit, check your manufacturer's instructions for their recommended level of concentration . Use a salt that is at least 99.8% pure NaCl. The preferred salt is an evaporated, granulated, food quality, NON-iodized salt. Avoid using salt with anti-caking agents like sodium ferrocyanide, also known as yellow YPS (prussiate of soda. These cause some discoloration of fittings and pool surface finishes. DO NOT use calcium chloride.

Using a salt water test strip, measure the current salt level of your pool. For the Compupool generators, ideal is 3500 ppm. If the level is low, determine the number of gallons in your pool and add salt according to the Salt Table. For example, if your pool has 15,000 gals of water and your current salt level is 2500, you need to add 125 lbs of salt.

I have forgotten how to set my salt water system to initially chlorinate the water after i added the salt. It keeps beeping and the code says no salt is detected.

Could be a couple of things. Have you put the right amount of salt in according to the tables (I find I always have to add a bit more then the tables say). Have you let the salt mix completly by stirring up any salt laying on the bottom of the pool and by running the pump for at least 24 hours before turning on the salt generator. Depending on how large the pool is you may need more than 24 hours before turning on the salt generator. If still doesnt work than you can try adding more salt a little bit at a time over a couple of days. Also check to see if the electrolytic plates need cleaning. Unscrew the large grey connector to the left of where the wire goes into the sensor and look inside the unit on the left)

Code 91

If you have hard water in your location you may want to try cleaning the electrolytic plate. I had the same issue where no matter how much salt was added I had code 91. I shut the water down going through the filter / generator. Pulled the outlet hose off and put on a cap. Pulled copper cell out and filled chamber with vinegar. Put cell back in and let set for 1 hour. Fluhed it out and hooked everything back up. Nop more salt problems. The process is in the book.

First of all you should not have set it to generat chlorine until straight filtering for 24 hours. unplug then plug it back in
88 will appear let your salt disolve by filtering only for the 24 hours then proceed to generate chlorine

It may look disolve but there are many hot spots that need to get distributed eveny

At initial startup add 290 pounds of salt. Add 75 pounds if low salt warning appears. Set the timer to run the pump for 10 hours per day.Get a downladable owner's manual here: http://pr-rp.pmra-arla.gc.ca/PR_SOL/pr_web.ve1?p_ukid=5143

I am assuming you have poured in the correct amount of salt. If not post the size of the pool and I can list the correct amount. Now, you will need to set the hours of operation according to the size of the pool which I need to know in order to help more. I will go through the procedure of startup. When you turn the pump on after dissolving the salt in the pool, it will show a code 88 which is normal. Press and hold the down button for 2 seconds until you hear a short beep. The LED will flash 00. Your keypad is now unlocked. Push the up button to set the number of daily hours of operation according to the size of your pool. Up to add hours, down to remove an hour. If you do not have an owner's manual tell me the size and where you live and I can tell you how much salt to add and hours each day to run.

Low salt indicator

high concentration? Salt is salt except for the fact in aq pool you want 98% pure and it must not be iodized salt
Also before generating salt with the timer you must have the right amount of salt
the #'s in the manual are just guidelines
get a salt test kit and get your pool to 3000ppm you need to filter only 24 hours or so getting to the 3000ppm wheather you ad salt or need to drain water and ad fresh none the less get it to 3000ppm
Now worry about your chlorine level if it is to high leave alone until it comes down if too low then run the generator for a few hours if it does not show on the scale at all try 4-6 hours
you will get a knack for the amount of time you need for your chlorine situation

if once all of this is set right and you still get high reading on salt unit take it apart as directed and spray it out with the garden hose
it is really simple only 4 screws
