Most video formats are already compressed. Your only solution would be to load the video into a video editor, then save it with either a lower resolution, or a lower 'quality' setting. Reducing the resolution by 20% (eg, from 800x600 to 640480) should bring your video below 1Gb.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

I have a ZIP file with Argosy 359T Firmware Upgrade in ZIP format but you don't allow uploading ZIP files.

Not sure who this is directed to, Fixya has nothing to do with uploads. See if you can use another format for compression. .RAR etc

Upload videos from laptop to mobile phone

The simplest way to both upload and download across platforms would be to sign up for a free dropbox account. 3 gigs of space are free. Install it on all devices, then upload your videos from 1 device (say the laptop) and download on another (mobile phone or other)

Larger video (above 1 gig) will not upload to my computer. I tried through various programs, through cut and paste, and also by removing sd card and placing in sd card reader on my computer. Nothing...

Most of the time if the file is to big it is trunkated! cut off at the knees. How big is the SD chip? Does this chip read in smaller portions of data?

Video Format for ZVue Elvis - .mtv not recognized

The elvis media player comes with the conversion software on the player in a .zip file. Transfer it to your pc. unzip it. install it. It should solve your problem. Reading the instruction manual is a must. If you have the files on your unit I could use a copy of the .zip files. Please attach and send to primobassoon@sbcglobal.net. The 1 gig partition shows up as drive F on my computer and is fully compatible with windows xp and above. If you formatted your disk you are out of luck. like me. Now I know but it's too late unless some nice person sends me the .zip files. Thanks.

Need to increase size of split hard drive

I would say the best way is to compress your files on your selected drive by going to my computer right clicking on the drive that you want to increase the capacity, click properties, then the tools tab. U should be able to defrag, compress from there. But I am pretty possitibe that the 15 gig drive is for backup of files for your computer incase the bigger drive crashes.

Poor graphics quality on MP4 video when uploaded to Utube

Unfortunately youtube has the nasty habit of compressing images, as well as MP4. Depending on the program you are using you might be able to increase the quality of the MP4 when you save it (MP4 compresses video into a smaller size by sacrificing pixel quality). However youtube does the same thing. The shorter (and smaller filesize) a video is, usually the less it gets compressed.

Try using DivX and save as an AVI if you have that option available. The better quality the video file the better a chance you'll have at uploading it to youtube.

Compressing Files

Well compression software will not do the trick since you have only 1 file.compression software works when you have so many files .......according to your need ,you can only use video converter to convert the file...I do use a video converter name Total Video Converter for converting .vob files and mpg files to avi .....so it convert into 1/2 the size it occupies before converting.
