Question about Kodak ESP 3 Multifunction Printer/ Copier/ Scanner
I have a Kodak Esp 3250 and it suddenly stopped printing. It does make copies but it refuses to take instructions from my computer. The error message that I get on my computer screen is a communication error, and it recommends that I either check if the USB cable is in good condition or that I should switch off and then turn my printer on. Needless to say, I have tried both after which I get another "Printer not responding message" which suggests that I make sure that the printer is on and is connected to the computer via a USB cable.
I should also mention that the first error message that I get is despite the fact, that my computer picks up the printer and after receiving printing instructions, a message box, states that the printer is "printing" and the progress bar is at 2% and remains there eternally.
Well this is the software issue till i can understand. to be sure that it is purely software issue try to copy from your printer itself and see if that is not the printer's fault.
if its not then:
Remove printer's USB cable from your computer
delete the Printer's Icon from your control panel/ system preferences> Printers and faxes/ printers
now uninstall the software of kodak and reinstall the the software from www.kodak.com/go/esp3downloads
after software installs then plug your printer back in and wait untill it get installed on your system
try to print it again and see if you can print

Go into the printer Que and delete all your printing that is pending. Your printer cable was backed out and you kept trying to send print instructions. After clearing them all out unplug power to printer and plug in again. When computer says it is there try printing again. If that does not work take your computer down and bring back up to reload drive.

According to your problem first check your printer setup.
You may have to change the black ink cartridge. But first clean the head of the
printer and align the cartridges.

The KODAK All-in-One Printer uses an advanced built-in printhead. The system is designed to provide excellent image and text quality, while eliminating the need to purchase new printheads every time you replace ink cartridges, and saving you money. The printing system requires that both the black and color ink cartridges be installed to print. If either cartridge is not installed or is out of ink, the printer or printhead will not print correctly.
Install the color a new cartridge, avoid damage to the print head.
