You don't. The 5024 uses standard AAA batteries. If you choose to use rechargeable batteries then you much charge them outside the camera using a separate charger.

How to view pictures off ch-ez splash digital camera

Be aware your camera expects a 5 Volt on the usb cable, for charging, unless a computer gives a signal that is connected to transfer pictures. Then the computer will "tell" the camera how to transport the pictures. So don't expect your camera to become a unintelligent USB memory stick.

Do I put the memory stick on the slot inside me camera while I'm charging my camera? is it required to take out the memory stick before charging?

Hi nafisa_arefi,

Thanks for the question ,

You are not required to remove the memory card while you charge your camera as it's irrelevant and it will not affect your camera in any way whether you have the memory stick in it or not.

Hope this answers your question ...:) Your feedback would be appreciated.

you must get a lavender colored sony stick. the black sticks will not work on older sonys. they do make them and only go up to 128 mb usually around 20 dollars.

Have a new sony dsc-w120 cyber shot camera. first digital camera and have no clue. also have memory stick duo. can i transfer pictures directly from the camera to my mac computer using usb...

OK,
Camera has small inbuilt memory that can store few pictures. You can copy these photos in memory stick by inserting memory stick in camera, go to Menu >> Copy >> Yes.
Memory stick stores many photos depends on its size and let memory stick in camera, hook it with computer and transfer photos from memory card.
Thanks.

How to?.....

You should be able to transfer the images directly to your computer without transfering them to you memory stick duo. Have you tried connecting the camera to your computer and retrieving the images? If you would rather have the images on your camera on your memory stick duo, then remove the memory stick duo connect the camera to your computer, copy the images off of the camera, turn the camera off, put the memory stick duo back into the camera, plug the camera back in, then transfer the images that you just transfered from the cybershot to your computer back to the camera. They should copy directly to the memory stick duo.

"No Memory Stick" errors

normally when a memory stick is inserted the wrong way or in a speed, the contacts pins inside the cmera tends to bend. If the camera is not sensing the stick this may the problem.
