Thats caused by a bad optical block. The cost of that repair will almost always be greater than replacing the TV.Thats a very common issue with alot of Sony DLP models which suffered that optical block issue with the blobs of color usually blue or green
Bad news. The yellow spot is probably the result of a burned phospor spot in your blue CRT (blue projection tube). (Yellow is the opposite or absence of blue.) Probably sometime in the past, your TV turned off (or suffered a malfunction) which allowed the picture tube to remain on for just a second AFTER the sweep circuits stopped. There is supposed to be some safeguard circuitry to prevent that from happening, but for some reason, it failed to do it's job, with the result that it burned a "hole" in the phoshor of the blue CRT. You can check this yourself by removing either the front or back (depending on the model) and looking directly into the blue CRT lens while it is on. (Keep your hands away from the high-voltage circuitry beneath the tubes!) Unfotunately, the only way to fix this problem is to replace the blue CRT. And more unfortunately, it's almost impossible to get replacement projection CRT's anymore. Sorry!
Verificar a filtro do lcd azul, antes da luz atingir o lcd. Há uma película prateada que solta desse filtro e a imagem passa a ficar azulada. Lg não fornece o filtro separadamente do conjunto óptico.
Light engine needs to be replaced. It is a common problem on this model TV. LG covered mine without charge. Contact LG customer support and explain the issue to them.
If your bulb light came on, Replace it before the bulb goes out. if not It could damage the bulb housing when the bulb pops. I have the same problem and dont have a solution for the spot.
