SOURCE: Printer no longer prints legibly
My CLP-300 color laser printer does not print clear in black. The left side of the page is worse then the right side. what can be done to fix this problem

Here are some steps you can check to resolve your issue.
Check if the ink cartridges are low, specially the color black since if the black is empty, you are using the colored cartridges to print black. If the cartridges are newly replaced check the cartridges by reseating it. Try to consider changing the print quality high but doing so will use more ink. If still the same try to clean your printer heads.
Here are the instruction for cleaning your printer.
Open the printer tool box. (open a word, then click on file then print, choose properties, then services)
click on clean the print cartridges, then clean. Do test printing as well to check if the color is correct. If still the same calibrate the color which can be found in the same menu.
For more information here is the link for step by step instruction with visuals.
Hope this will help you resolve the problem.
Thank you for choosing fixya

Most likely bad cartridges. Try going to Printers and Devices, find your printer, right click on it and select "printer properties". At the Properties window, select "Services" and on that window select "clean the cartridges" and ok. Let the printer complete its gyrations and try again. You can repeat this a couple of times and perhaps add the "prime" selection on subsequent tries. If that doesn't help, take the cartridges back and try for another pair. If they were refills, chances are they just weren't refilled.
