Hi,

In most cases the heater is clogged. It might be clogged with soap that has harden over time. You need to take the handle apart. You will see a metal box(thats the heater) besides the wires there are two tubes connected to the heater. remove the tubes but label or watch which tube goes where. now turn the heater upside down. there are 6 screws on the side and 1 in the middle. remove them carefully. the 6 on the side have a small gaskets under them..you don't want to lose them. the 1 in the middle has no gasket, now the bottom plate of the heater can be taken off (there is a gasket with that plate ...be careful . you will now see the long channels inside the heater and need to clean it. the holes where the tubes where connected have to be clean also but carefully. the metal is soft.so it bends. now put it all back. hope this helps. if you want to keep this from happening.the best way is to run clear water after you are done.this will remove any soap in the machine which will harden after the machine drys out.

Let me know,if needed further assistance.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

    Thanks for your response!!

In that case, First check the motor duct gasket.
To check this, first remove the
tank and place your hand over the rubber square opening. If there is no
suction there, please take your machine to a BISSELL Authorized Service
    Center for inspection.

If your machine does have suction at the
duct, continue to check the following:
    - Ensure the Ready Tools Dial
is set to the appropriate setting (Floor Cleaning or Hose Attachments).
    -
Remove the tank from the machine and ensure the tank lid is attached
properly. The front window must first hook onto the lip of the bottom of
the tank and then drape over the tank. Latch the bottom tank to the top
tank lid. THIS LID CANNOT BE ATTACHED PROPERLY IF THE TANK IS NOT
    REMOVED FROM THE MACHINE.
    - Make sure the Water Tank is not full on
the outside of the bladder. If it is, empty the tank.
    - Ensure the
hose is firmly attached to the back of the machine. If not, re-insert as
    necessary by twisting into place.
    - The machine must be in an
upright, locked position and set to the Hose Attachment setting. If the
handle is slightly tilted back while using, it will create a small gap
at the suction inlet (where handle meets gasket, above the Bottom Tank)
which will cause little or no suction.
    - Check the red Tank Lint
Screen for debris. If the Lint Screen is dirty, the unit will have poor
suction. Clean the Lint Screen if necessary.
    - If the float flap door
in the tank lid is activating prematurely when you turn the machine on,
this flap door should be replaced.
    - Check the Tank Lid and Tank for
    damage.

If you continue to experience no suction, please take
your machine to a local BISSELL Authorized Service Center. To locate
your nearest BISSELL Authorized Service Center, please go to
www.bissell.com under the Customer Center tab near the top of the
homepage. Enter your zip code in the Service Center box on the right of
the page to perform your search.

You can also locate a Service
Center by phone, 24 hours a day, by calling 1-800-237-7691

The Cost of Repair would be around $60.

Let me know,if needed further assistance.

    Hope i helped you.

My Bissell Big Green barely sprays any water.

Check you User Guide and see where the filters are. They usually have have a filter under the flow indicator. Turn the Flow Indicator cap counter-clockwise to remove it. Lift out the rotor and the filter is under it. Remove it and clean. Reinstall in reverse order. I don't know anything about the specific machine you have but I know they have a flow indicator from other comments I've read so it's worth the try.. Hope that Helps.

Make sure the hose solution line is connected, wet clean button is pressed, look for two small o-rings on the end of the fitted end of the hose solution line, and run the machine for 5 minutes with all three buttons engaged to dislodge any clogs from the heater.

Biseell little green machine wont squirt water out

The Pumps on these go bad after a couple of months. They rust and will sometimes spray and other times not then eventually not work at all. If your a handy man pull the top off it and remove the pump motor and replace it yourself. The part number is 603-5029 you can put this number in google shipping and get it to your door for about $15 and replace it yourself or have a friend do it. Ebay has tons of them once again just put in the part number and a list of them will come up.
Thanks and have a good one
Sincerely, CRTN

Pumps are a very common problem on these units. check pump belt first and make sure spray jets above the brushroll are not clogged. Most likely have to replace the pump. If you need me to walk you through this or need parts let me know.

We found that ours had a simpler problem. Upon opening the motor compartment, we saw that the pump had "nudged" up from it's mounting slots. It is held down by a clip on each end and one had pushed up, allowing the pump to ride up and thereby disconnecting the short hose which kept the "suction train" intact. Once we re-seated the pump correctly and pushed the clip back down, the hose reached nicely and our suction was re-established.
Getting into the motor and pump area was the hardest part. Inside the power hose "cubbie" is a small hex head screw. Find your shortest stubbiest 1/4 inch open ended wrench to loosen this screw (lefty-loosey). Once the screw is out, gently pry along the edge with fingers and thumbs. The top (ours is green) part should separate itself from the bottom (ours is beige) part. The pump in our unit is red and has a 4-5 inch hose leading from the end of the pump to the outlet (on the outside of the green or top part). Re-assemble and go for it!
