Question about Canon PIXMA Pro9000 InkJet Photo Printer
I have a Canon Pro9000 MarkII and the previous Pro9000. They both occasionally squeal and then don't, as the paper is ejected from the feeder. Right now the Pro9000 MarkII is consistently squealing every time the paper ejects. I would like to stop this noise before something jams or freezes. Which gear or roller needs to be lubricated and which is the best lubricant? I already know what Canon thinks about it, is there somebody from the private sector who has dealt with this?
You do not use lubricant on printers. Clean all roller and bars with Q tip and acohol. Make sure alcohol is squeezed out so it does not drip inside printer. The noise should stop. If it does not it is the belt that drives the capstans (rollers) that is worn out.
