Thermostat may need replacing in order to take care of this issue.

You may try turning temperature down a little and see if it will stay on. Temperature may be set high and heater heating beyond limit and tripping it out.

More than likely theremostat is going bad.

Lost all hot water, then replaced both elements but still no hot water.

I would have checked the reset button before you changed the elements. Yes, press the reset button, you should hear it click. Give it some time to heat up. Don't throw away your old elements, they may still be good. Save them for future replacements.

Just replaced both elements to my reliance electric heater..heats fine but after 1 shower i have to reset red button and repeat process daily Whats up? thanks

Replace thermostats.
One of the thermostats is sticking causing overheating that trips ECO reset located on upper thermostat. There is no good way to test thermostats since testing means turning the temperature setting which temporarily unsticks bad thermostat so it looks like it works ok, so replace both thermostats.

I have no hot water in my home i can not locate the reset button

The reset button is located on the top thermostat, on the heater you will see a acess panel with screws in it to remove the thermostat and element is behind this panel. Once removed the top thermostat should have a red button to press to reset heater.
If it resets then wait for a little time for hot water. If this doesn't work then it could be the elements are in need of changing.

I'M NOT GETTING HOT WATER THE SYSTEM HAS POWER IS THERE A RESET BUTTON OR OL SWITCH ON A RHEEM TALL ELEC UNIT

There is a reset button located behind the top cover plate on the side. Remove four screws to remove cover and carefully spread insulation apart to access element, thermostat, and reset button. It is a small round red button. If you push it in and it stays thens the element should come on. If it pops right back out then you need to look at changing the reset.Thank you.

The button could be stuck on the thermostat or needs replacing. You try to reset it by putting the screw driver head against the reset button and bump the handle with your hand to try to free it up. I have tried that and it free up one, reguardless if it didn't you would have to replace it any way if it is bad.
The button should pree in to reset, also check element's out they can short and throw your breaker.

Hello. If you turn off the power and drain the tank then examine each of the heating elements you will find that the upper element is deteriorated. The fix is to replace the heating element. Actually though my practice is when one is bad the other isn't far behind so for a few dollars I change both when I have the tank drained. Joe

HELLO, MY WATERHEATER KEEPS TRIPPING THE RESET BUTTON ABOUT TWO TIMES A MONTH. WHAT COULD BE THE PROBLEM?

could be faulty thermostat/reset button, or shorted element. Breaker to water heater off,
Check elements for continuity to ground. should be no continuity to ground. If elements OK replace reset button. If you have noticed very hot water and elements checked OK then replace both thermostats along with reset button
