Question about Dell 922 All-In-One InkJet Printer
Yes. But you need to have a cd driver for Windows 7 for that printer to run in that windows.

Your question is confusing to me - they have a new computer with 7 and they have an older computer with an unknown system (you allude to Vista - not at all that old!) and they have a "classic" printer which they want to work on the new computer ... is that the sum of it?
My suggestion is get the old computer running --- tune it up a little with CClean, Comodo's RegCleaner, and Spy bot - Search and destroy. All free to download and freee to use forever. Defragment the drive using the windows defragmenter. After you get it going, update the OS (Windows I presume) at the Windows Update Site. Get the latest driver for the printer. Next step is to get a 4 port LinkSys router - and build them a network. You will be the hero (not that you arent their hero already ...)
Thanks for your question at FixYa.com

Read the last comment on this blog about your printer. At the time that model was manufactured, Windows 7 was not apparantly listed or verified. I think they have updated their drivers, so update your drivers per the blog instructions. Good luck, hope this works for you!

Yes, the printer is compatible with Windows 7. You will need to use the driver from the Lexmark website since the cd won't work with it. Don't connect the printer to your computer yet. Before downloading, check if your Windows 7 is running on 32-bit or 64-bit operating system by clicking on the Windows logo Start menu > right click on Computer > Properties. For the software, click on this link: http://bit.ly/ckIqlq (for 32-bit) or this link: http://bit.ly/9Jw6yE (for 64-bit). Download and install the software. Just follow the instructions. Hope this helps. If you need more assistance, leave a comment and I'll get back to it. Thanks.

Not compatible or not working well with windows 7?
(making a program work with windows 7)
Maybe, It doesn't work because the driver/application you installed is for other versions of operating system. I am also using windows 7 like you so don't you worry, You can still use your old installer/driver from other versions of operating systems. Just remember that before installing any program in a windows 7 Operating System Computer, Use "troubleshoot compatibility". Right Click the Icon of your program installer/application first, then choose "troubleshoot compatibility". This will allow you to choose on what type operating system your program will run. Just reply back if it still doesn't work.:D rate and vote for me:))
