To check which fan it is ued have to remove the bottom back panel, unplug set, remove all screws on panel ,4 of the screws will take off a vented door ,it should have a symbol on it that looks like a "T" ,but its not a "T" directly behind the symbol theres a little blue switch, it flips up or down, the "T" shaped plasticon the inside of that door is what actually flips the switch when the door/panel is in place with the 4 screws. With the back part of the set removed hold the switch up or down and have someone turn the set on,theres a small fan that u can see and theres a fan on the back side of the light, don't touch anything else while set is on,don't be sweaty or wet and only keep the set on to determine which fan is out,cut set off but continue to hold switch until everything shuts off ,a minute or so later.,you can also put like a wire tie or anything to hold the switch for you which is much safer, this is for a lic.tech. so only do this at your on risk,I never recommend this to do yourself but a person can do some things like this.goodluck.
I know where and probably have a fan for that set to ship.
PS(PLEASE RATE ME ,THANKS ALOT!)

I have a Samsung HL67A750fxca TV. Msg on screen says check fan 3. I checked all 3 fans & all work fine! I cleaned all dust out as well. Also the colors in the TV flash green&blue. someone help me plz!

A defect or problem with an ntc resistor or a bad capacitor(s) in the powersupply and other boards where the problem is, something come up with an overload voltage then the processor make trash from all the warnings it said about a fan or the fan has self a problem bearingproblem or a dc to low that it makes not the full rpm it should usually do.

My samsung 61in. Dlp screen flashes green/blue pic is viewable but everything is the two colors, also screen will flash icon check fan #1

You have 2 problems. Problem 1 either you main board or light engine is bad and needs to be replaced. Problem 2 is exactly what your TV says. Fan#1 isn't functioning properly so a heat sencor is being actiated to shut down your set. Make sure all the fans are free of debree and spinning. If one is not spinning, make sure it has voltage going to it. This will let you know if you have a bad fan, or a bad board.

Is there any solution for "check fan 1" Samsung LN40A650A LCD TV

Just fixed my Samsung LN40 check fan #1.Unplug, Take the back off (like 20 screws were hard to find them all) fan is exposed in the middle. Unscrew fan, used q-tips and nozzle tool on vacuum cleaner to remove built up dust gunk. Blew in center of fan to dislodge dust. Screwed fan back on, plugged in to see if fan was spinning to cool TV. It was and the check fan message disappeared. Put the back on. Feeling Lucky no big repair.

I have a 61 inch samsung TV. A message flashed across the screen saying "check fan # 1 " then a few minutes later it shut down.

Hello
Not much to do by web, this message mean you most likely need a new fan, tv shuts down due to overheating. Contact service.

Our Samsung TV model HLT6187SAX\XAA is displaying a message on screen "Check fan # 2" Red and green lights on the lower right front are flashing. What does this mean?

There is a bad fan in your T.V. You would have to open it, see which fan isn't spinning, get the part number for the fan, order it and replace it.

Replaced color wheel and the lamp...tv still. Cycles on and off..with "lamp" green light flashing along with standby light flashing...nothing on screen and lamp not coming on? Its an hlp5063w. Please...

Since you have replaced the lamp and wheel, next would be the ballast and power supply board. These provide power to the lamp and Samsung recommends replacing both at the same time. If power supply board is bad, it can destroy the ballast so replace both. This usually takes care of the problem.

Check fan # 1

There is a slight possibility that fan #1 is still good. I would still investigate it though. If the heat is not controlled, more damage could be done. I'm not sure which fan is #1. I think on the PCB of the TV would have some kinda of marking that would say FAN 1, FAN 2, etc.
