How do You use the "blank disks" if You want to

    recover Vista? (commands, etc.)

Are they an alternative to Alt-F10, which starts

    recovery from the hidden partition.

Does anyone know anything about this?

Those recovery discs are not blank, and shouldn't be used unless you are having serious issues with the computer. They will return the computer to its factory condition, erasing everything that you've put on the machine since you got it.

Only use them if you encounter serious problems with the machine, and restoring it is the only way out. Hopefully, though, you'll post here before having to use them!

Need a Acer Aspire m1610 recovery disc

Go to and click on Support; put your model number in (and perhaps, serial number) and you will be able to order a DVD with all the software that was factory installed on your PC. It will cost somewhere over $100.

Alternatively, you can download Macrium Reflect - Free Version and install it. You must be connected to the Internet when you install to get the free license. Connect an external USB hard drive and Reflect will make you a disk image of all of your installed software as well as all of your word, picture, music and video files. If you have a computer or hard drive failure, you will be able to reload everything onto a new hard drive or computer. You can buy an external USB hard drive for about $85 and everyone should backup their hard drive anyway.

I recently purchased a Aspire 5515 Series Notebook PC and was wondering if I was supposed to get Just for Starters Poster, the Aspire Series Generic Users Guide and Recovery Disc for this model?None of...

I can't tell from your post if this is a new unit or a refurb unit. On the bottom it should say refurbished. If its new you should have received the poster and user guide. Recovery discs you'll need to make from the CPU's instruction. If this is a refurb, you wouldn't get any of this material.

Do you have your manual or a restore disc? If you do not go to this site to download a manual and purchase a resotre disc for around 9.95.

Recovery For ACER 3660

If you have recovery disk try starting them from Windows, or start computer with disk inside and chose 'boot from cd'.
After booting from recovery disc chose complete recovery.
Save a backup of your data, as complete recovery may delete the data.
If recovery disk does not work you will have to install Windows from a generic Windows setup disk, in this case refer to manual for how to.

Here is the user manual, check from page 82
