This problem sounds like a HDD failure. If you have access to another computer you could try and slave her drive on that computer and run a check disk on her drive.
Whne you slave the drive make sure the jumpers are set you will see a diagram of the setting on the front of the drive on the sticker.
To run a check disk go to:-
Click on run ---> cmd ----> chkdsk
if there is a problem you could try chkdsk/f
Hope this helps.

Why does screen go black and keyboard and mouse no longer work?

Hello,

I'm not sure what Operating System you are using on your PC. But from what I can see, you might be using Windows XP, Vista and/ or 7. This kind of abnormality usually happens when the computer is infected with a Trojan or Malware. Is your antivirus software upto date and functioning well? Scan your PC and clean it fine.

If this still happens, you might be having some malfunctioned hardware; Motherboard, Ram, Keyboard or Mouse. Check these carelefully to ensure that they are working great.

Lastly, if this still happens, your Operating system might be having way too many errors that it might call for a re-installation. Backing up data and doing a clean re-installation might be something to look at.

Please let me know on how it all goes.

Connect an additional wired keyboard to your pc. And when the freeze happens check if the pc responds at all, using the wired keyboard. If its not responding , its an indication of a faulty PSU or motherboard.

i think storage battery low indicates that the cmos battery is losing its ability to reatin a charge. try replacing it. if that doesn't solve your problem, you have deeper issues. consult a professional if this is the case.

Mouse and keyboard freeze.

its a very common hardware fault with these laptops, can you open setup or bios? that is opened right when the power is turned on the and screen says press F2 to enter bios or setup, if you can't enter bios then you have a faulty motherboard, usb ports don't work either? (usb keyboard and mouse don't work?)
