Question about Tomtom ONE GPS Receiver

Tomtom1 v2 Hi Ken This is Pat Armstrong from Halifax. You got my tt up and running a couple of weeks ago. Wondered if you could help me with this problem I have. I am trying to plan routes with waypoints in the itinerary planner in advance of my journey. Even when I have requested all options to be available in the itinerary planner, some are still unavailable. regards Pat

Hi Pat, well this seems a common problem and after taking a look I see it can be cantankerous. I have to be honest and tell you i DON'T KNOW the answer. Sorry.

Go to linfoxdomain and find the files for you card, then put them on your card one by one, they wont work on your card if you dont put them on one at a time.

hi, mate check firewall settings of your modem/router. Then contact your IT administrator and he should be able to make changes to configurations for you. In most cases if server classify's your connection as unsafe it rejects it.

You cannot use a card from another tt. The navcore and maps are for that individual device only. Check the tt forums you can find a wealth of information on them.

TT Home does not recognise connection


You definitely need software and maps on an SD card. The TOMTOM will not work without a card inserted. The card will contain MAPS , Map authorisation codes ( to show they are genuine TOMTOM maps bought and paid for ) , POI ( points of interest ), GPS fix data , voices ( for spoken navigation ) etc etc etc. ....................
PLEASE NOTE , TRYING A CARD FROM ANOTHER TOMTOM is very unlikely to work. Each card has an authorisation code that is generated via an algorithm inside each TOMTOM and is device specific.
However , trying a card from another tomtom might produce a diferrent result but still not work , at least this might prove that the tomtom is working OK before you rush out and buy a tomtom card.

NO MAPS FOUND


Hi All,

I too had the same problem. What a pain in the @$$. Here's what I did... after I tried everything under the sun I finally decided to Log In... even though it says you don't need to in order to do updates.

So I created an account.
Then I updated with the TT ONE New Edition software.
Then I closed TT HOME program.
Then I clicked the icon at the bottom right of the screen for safely removing devices and clicked to remove the TomTom.
Then the TT ONE updated itself and I got my map back.

I think you'll find that you can download it from tomtom home, with full technical help online & on the phone.

I dont advise COPYING it from a friend as you will get a symbol appear on the screen with a tomtom SD card with a large red cross through it, indicating that the tomtom knows its not a genuine copy.
