My Craftsman LT 2000 will not go into gear when I let the clutch out. Everything feels normal but when I let the clutch out, tractor is not in gear. Tried both forwardand reverse. I can change the gear lever with no problems.

I have a craftsman lt 1000 riding lawn mower and it runs, but it won't go into gear it goes into gear, but clutch won' engage the gear.

Look under the mower to see if the drive belt has come off or broke. It is the belt that runs from the bottom of the engine to the rear axle.
