This unit is on protect mode meaning that a problem was detected in the final output stage. Try removing the speaker connections. If it still behaves the same way, the output transistors are most likely defective and will need to be replaced. The parts cost should be around $15-$25. Add in the local labor rate for the complete repair cost.

Denon AVR-1908 won't power on

Are you getting a standby light at all? Is it flashing? Do you here a click when you plug the unit in? If the answer is no to all of these then you blew a fuse. If you do have soome sort of standby light, then your set is in protect mode. More than likely for a blown channel. If no lights, but you ar egetting a click, you could have a bad transformer. Use a DVM and see if it is open or not. Good luck

Clearly, it thinks you're overdriving it.

Blinking Power Indicator every 2 seconds means the internal temperature is high. (Page 76 of the manual)

Every half-second - speaker impedance too low.

Consider the load presented by the speakers and what their minimum impedance might be.

Check for loose speaker wires.

Denon AVR-683 won't stay on

replace all the electrolytic capacitors in the power supply. i had the exact same problem with mine and once i replaced the capacitors it powered up and stayed on and worked perfect.
these capacitors tend to fail as they're of poor quality.
this fault is very common on denon receivers, especially the later models.

hope this helps?

Denon avr-2106 problem!!!

You're drawing too much power from it. Sounds like maybe your sub is hooked up wrong, double check that.

Powers turns on then off

See: http://www.denon.ca/hapdfs/avr2105mane.pdf, page 72. In my case, the problem was a connector between my receiver and television. I unplugged it from my receiver and it now works.
