I have found 12 compacitors the 4 on the dm board and 8 on the other 2 circuit boards. Should I replace them all. The 4 on the dm board do not look swollen. It sounds maybe just to replace the 2 on power supply board but I find 4 that are in a cluster. Which ones should I replace

The DM is the second board inside the Chassis block directly underneath the FMT board. But replacement DM boards if still good are very expensive your better off replacing the 4 capacitors that fail on the DM.
Also known as the Green Blinking Light of Death. The repair on this is cheap but very time consuming and wit no gaurentees. There are 4 Capacitors on the DM board and 4 Capacitors on the Formatter board that are more than likely defective and need to be replaced. On the DM board the locations are C81A2, C81A3, C81B3 and C81B4. They will probably be swollen. On the Formatter board the locations are C8F19, C8F21, C8F22 and C8F27. Also will probably be swollen. The values of all 8 capacitors are the same. 1000MF/16V. Replace with value 680MF/16V. While you have the chassi ripped apart, check the power supply board as well. You should fine some swolle caps on it also. Replace with same value of the one you remove. Now once all of this is done and you put everything back togeather, you have a 50/50 chance of success. I have found that many surface mount caps can also go bad on the formatter board. If your repair does not work, then replace all of the surface mount caps on the formater board that are 10 and 16 volts.
this means the DM board is not booting up. You will typically need 4-8 capacitors to fix this issue. you have to pull out the board and solder in new parts. let me know if you feel skilled enough to do this and I can give directions. The caps will usually bulge at the tops and are 1000uf .. mitsubishi recommends replacing with 680uf 16v caps..
if you do not want to repair yourself, a repair center can ship the chassis in for rebuild, total repair about 400 or 500 $
The DM is the second board in the chassis from the right side looking in the rear. The first board is the FMT. The second is the DM, third is the Signal and the one which is sideway across the front is the Power board. The Chassis metal shields have to be removed to access the boards.
If you only changed 4 caps,1000 ucfd 35v, it should be 5, if you did not remove the little plug in board, e prom, you may have damaged that. B-4/after changing caps what is the indicator light, green, doing?
This part will cost you about 650 to 800 bucks my friend. if you have any soldering skills, and can follow directions, I posted a DM board fix. it may just be four small capacitors. Now this set that was used in the fix is not exactly like all the other Mitsubishi TV sets that still have a DM board, but if you can locate the DM board, follow the rest of the repair. if you do not know how to solder, do not take a chance, as this part is way too expensive to be experimenting around with. Get the Capcitors(there is a link there too for the capacitors)and take the DM board to a service shop, as this should not cost you a lot to have a pro do this for you.
