If the design of this unit is the water pump is in the front directly below the motor, you have to install one of the pump plastic legs between the belt. when installing new belt. There are torex screws holding the pump onto the motor. This is assuming your belt burnt off or broke and you are replacing the belt. The small idler pulley can be worked on by running the belt on the big pulley when reinstalling the motor Try not to stretch the spring for the idler pulley,
hope this helps

How to change drive belt

disconnect power, remove the belt guard, spin the small pulley while derailiing the belt from the large pulley. To install, put the belt on the small pulley and then on the large pulley while rotating the spinning parts by hand, easier to turn the small pulley, guide the belt into the large pulley groove.

HYUNDAI HI, pls, l can't replace the fan belt

the adjustment is done by the idler pulley. loosen the nut that holds the pulley on. adjust on or off by the bolt immediately behind the idler pulley. most adjustments are right when the longest section of belt between 2 pulleys can be depressed about the thickness of the belt

What does a serpentine belt operate and do all the pulleys suppose to work 1995 winstar

I don't know that car in detail, but it appears that there is one belt, driven of course from the crankshaft, driving the A/C, alternator, power steering, and the water pump. It also has an idler pulley and a tensioner pulley. Quite a belting.

Trying to replace a drive belt on the tractor. The pin that keeps the belt on the transaxle pulley is so close I can't get the belt on the pulley. trying to follow instructions in the book but it is...

Have replaced the belt a few times on my 48". Don't know if its the same model you have, but here's the way i've found to do mine:
The front pulley can be easily removed and i slip the belt onto it while holding it up just before re-inserting the pulley onto the shaft.
The belt is first slipped over the rear pulley and kept in a straight line toward the front pulley without winding it around any of the holders or anything to give it the maximum length. Also the clutch pedal has to be pressed/held down while doing the install. To remove the front pulley: take the plastic guard off the top center of the motor revealing the large center nut; place large crescent wrench or soemthing to hold the nut and then loosen the center pulley bolt from underneath with socket. Pulley will slide off sometimes after a few taps downward w/ a wooden mallet. Note there is a slot inside the pulley shaft that lines up with a raised area on the motor shaft. don't overtighten when re-installing, maybe lube the bolt a little 'cause you may need to take it off again in the future.
Let me know if you need more details.

How to put on the pwer steering belt???????

Hi there? If the old belt is still in there make a note where the belt goes so you know where the new belt goes. there should be a small pulley with a 16 mill bolt. Turn it clockwise to release the tension on the belt. make sure that the spanner don't slip and pinch your fingers, please be carefull.
Good luck.

I'm trying to do some work on my DR Trimmer and Mower. I need to know the configuration for putting a belt back on and how to adjust the cable that activates the mower head

The DR Trimmer/Mower V-belt (1/2” x 45” 4L450) loops around the Trimmer Head pulley and the engine pulley. The V seats into the pulley grooves and the flat side faces out.

On older models there is a stationary idler pulley near the front of the trimmer which remains inside the belt loop. Another smaller pivoting idler pulley sits further back near the engine pulley and rides on the outside (flat side) of the belt loop. This is attached to the clutch cable which can be adjusted to apply more or less tension to the belt.

To adjust the clutch cable on older models, follow it down to where it mounts to the Trimmer frame with lock nuts. Loosen those lock nuts and move the cable in small increments forward for more belt slack or backwards for more belt tension, tightening up the lock nuts when you find the proper position.

If you have a newer model, the trimmer won’t have the stationary idler pulley, it will have a twin idler pulley that pivots on a bracket and is attached to the clutch cable. The belt loops to the outside of the first idler pulley and to the inside of the 2nd idler pulley (pulley is inside belt loop). Be sure the belt retainer brackets don’t rub against the belt when it is engaged.

The Clutch Cable adjustment is the same procedure except that the adjuster is mounted to a bracket on the handlebars with lock nuts.

You may download the DR Trimmer manuals for more detailed information at the following web link:

How do you relace an alternator belt on 1998 chevy tracker?

A year is not a good sign. The belt should not have come off in that span of time. I would make sure you do not have a worn out idler or tensioner pulley bearing before installing your new belt or reinstalling the original if it is not worn or damaged.

You will find one or two small pulleys involved with drive belt. One of the smaller pulleys will be an "idler" pulley and simply redirects the belt to a different accessory. The other small pulley is considered a "tensioner" pulley, it is spring loaded and keeps the correct tension on the accessory belt.
The tensioner pulley will have a "squared" hole in the bracket or a bolt through the center of the pulley. In either case you will use a wrench to pry the tensioner pulley arm in the direction that loosens the belt. Once tension is relieved, pull the belt off a pulley and remove the belt. You will reverse the process to install the new belt.
Good luck and let me know.

Hoover windtunnel

Put the V belt on the pulley first, then the flat belt, put it over the motor shaft or pulley, then you have to stretch it to go over the pulley next to the V belt pulley.
