The mic is most likely come loose from the board. The only thing that holds the mic down is a little bit of sauter. So it can be easily broke/jarred out of place. If you have insurance just make a claim if not possibly see if there is a repair shop that could fix the problem.

Left in rain now nobody can hear me

You can swap the microphones from the new phone to the old one to solve your problem. You could even swap the board under the keypad if necessary. Doing so should fix your problem. You have to ask yourself "is it worth it?" Why not just use the new phone?

Motorola IHF1000 bluetooth

Hey mawcab,

Based on the information provided it sounds like your microphone is not working. There a possibility it could simply be unplugged from the car kit control module. It will look like a head phone plug. If your car kit is aftermarket it was probably installed under the steering column. Check for a black box with an unplugged wire.

What type of work was done on the car?

Hope this helps!

Hi,
Is it possible that something is blocking the hole to the phone's microphone? Check that the hole is clean (usually from dust). Good luck!

I can hear but cannot be heard.

I have an actual solution... I went to motorola site and found this...

Have questions about your cell phone/mobile device or Bluetooth headset?

Our Call Centers are open from Monday through Friday from 7.00 a.m. to 10.00pm; Saturday and Sunday 9.00 a.m. To 6.00 p.m. (CST)

Please call Motorola customer service at: 1-800-331-6456

When I called I did a quick song and dance with the auto system (just say agent and it goes away) and explained to a "foreign" sounding gentleman what my issue was and after wasting about 5 minutes of my time attempting to get it to work he said they (Motorola) was going to upgrade my headset to the H710 for free. According to him I should have my new headset in less than a week. We shall see.

The microphone

My only suggestion is go back to place where you bought it and exchange for a new one. Most place have a 30 day return policy. I would try that.
