Blinking green power light & shut down

I have a Mitsubishi WS-55515 - over the past few months when I turned on the unit, the green light would blink and the unit would shut down. Ater a few minutes, I would be able to turn on power normally. Now, when I turn on the unit, the green light blinks and the unit shuts off immediately. I have tried to hit reset, and I waited for the green light to stop blinking, but when I turned on the power, the green light blinked, and shut down again. I have tried to reset several times, and power up several times. The unit now never fully powers up with a picture or sound. Is this a power supply issue or the capacitors I have read about. If this is the capacitors could you please tell me what specific capacitors I have to replace. Thanks for you assistance.

There are (4) 1000uf @35V capacitors all together on the DM board that need to be replaced some models have 1000uf @ 16V but they are all right beside each other and all rated at 1000ufs the voltages will be stamped on the capacitor along with the uf ratings.

Green LIght Blinking

Does the led ever stop blinking? No ..well in that case generally this indicates a standby voltage problem...if all those voltages ok then the cuircit known as digital module is at fault. also make sure the lockout has not been activiated. i really dont think it could but to unlock hold menu button down for 10 seconds. After all that i believe it would be a bad digital module

I have a mitsubishi 1080 projection tv. I wont turn on, the green light just keeps blinking.

Check the manual...blinking green light is normal. The unit is powering down cooling the lamp. It could have been a shut down command through pressing the off button by accident. If problem continues I would unplug tv and power on/off. Steady green. Next to the lights is a small indentation where you can reset the TV to the defaults. Take a paper clip ...power on..and put in the center. The green light will blink for a minute or two then go dark. THen power up.

generally this means a bad digital module.. as a techinican the first thing that we would check are what is know as standby voltages. if they were there we would replace digital module.! question. Does it blink for more than 70 seconds. This unit comes with a lockout feature. to unlock press and hold menu down for 10 seconds on front panel.

The constant blinking green light means that the TV is not booting up. This is a common problem on this set.You need to remove the shield from the DM board (standing upright on the left where the DTV RF connector is)and inside you will see the four leaky capacitors (1000 MFD 16 VOLT)replace them, plug the TV in and wait 70 seconds for the blinking light to stop, then turn on the TV.The hard part will be removing the board from the TV(lots of screws and connectors, takes time)
