Question about SkyCaddie SG2.5 GPS Receiver
I bought my skycaddie 2 months ago and have since synced and dowloaded 20 courses. Last week I downloaded another course and sycned it to my skycaddie. The day after, I tried to add another course and have tried to sync it at least 50 times and it keeps telling me ERROR - Your skycaddie could no be found. Can anyone please help ith a solution of how to fix this problem to allow me to get my skycadie synced again????

I am having the same issue in Ontario Canada, I read somewhere that there may be a problem with the actual GPS satellites. Where are you having the problems?

Ran into this problem last night. Was trying to update software on Skycaddie. According to computer, everything finished. However, my skycaddie was displaying UPDATE PROGRAM VER 00.13 (B) Ready to Begin. Tried to reload last application as stated in earlier post. PC could not fine skycaddie.
Gave up and called customer service this morning. Only took a few minutes to get a live rep on the phone. He e-mailed me a link to execute that allowed him access to my computer. He tried to reload the last application as well, same result. He then ran an update program via a website, program found my skycaddie and was successfully updated. Whole process took less than five minutes.
I was fearing having to send my unit in for repair.

perform a soft reset. hold power and joystick for 8 seconds. it will turn off. now turn on. if boots up correctly, then ok. if not, then perform hard reset. push the information button (i) and flag button at same time. while both buttons are pressed turn on power. you should be in recovery mode. if so, re-sync.

Mine is tempermental but I have found a work-around that gets it to sync. I have Windows 7 and that is the primary problem and somewhat of a known issue. Here is the process that works for my uPro: Reboot your computer and delete cache and cookies from your browser application. Browse to uPro website and Log in. Start the uPro. Plug it in after it starts and displays main page. Mine will try to run the "autorun" file from the uPro and will fail because my virus software will block it. That's OK becasue it stops at that point. Now I turn off the virus software. Back at the uPro website I click on "my uPro" then click on "Find uPro". Important step: choose "Run" from web at the find app prompt (do not save and run locally). This process will find my uPro and allow me to perform one action, load or remove courses, then I have to shut it all down and start over to perform any more actions. A pain, yes but untill they fix the software it works in my case. Good luck and Hit Em Straight!
