Yes, send this to a Makie repair facility. Chaances are there is a chip going bad... most likely the A-D or D-a convertor.

Try putting this is your freezer and then immediately test it. This MIGHT indicate if problem is easily found with circuit cooler spray.

Please! show me how to connect an electric acoustic guitar to the mixer

You can't. A mixer won't take the input from a guitar. You would need to connect the guitar to an amplifier and then connect the output from the amp to the mixer.

A mixer is what it is, a device to mix lots of incoming audio signals and mixing the volumes to a number of speakers.

The unit does contain pre-amps, but not to run a device.

Why does my mackie cfx12 mkii have low output across all 8 xlr inputs at unity gain with distortion above that?

Where are you getting the low output? It would be very strange if all channels failed in the same way so it is probably something common to them all. Can you get the clip light to illuminate at all by turning the gain up on a mic channel and shouting into the mic? You are referring to the gain at the top of the strip not the slider aren't you? What happens if you assign a channel to the other sub channel, does the level come up through that? What happens if you take the output from the aux send and you send signal there, is it the same issue?
I may be completely wrong but I suspect if it is only mics that are causing a problem you may have the routing set up wrong or not set a level somewhere else right.

Mackie CFX12, right side output not working? Help!

Assuming if you pan hard left on an input it comes out the left and panning hard right goes nowhere and as you say the tape input feeds through to both sides OK there is a very limited number of places where the problem can be. If you are confident open it up and check all the connectors and cables. If anything has come loose this may find it, otherwise it's a trip to the repair shop. The largest cost will be the taking apart and putting back together as the repair itself should be a simple one and diagnostics easy.

Effects not working on mackie cfx 20

I can't find a schematic but this seems to be kind of simple to repair. These effects units are usually a small sound card almost like those in a computer. They plug in on a loop inside and also have a small 12vdc power plug. Not sure on this particular model but I have found several problems like this to be a loose connection. If you have it open and turned on, try wiggling the plug around and see if you see or hear any changes. The should also be a plug for the send/return loop I would wiggle as well. This plug goes through the effects level control knob and if it gets loose or dirty could make the level jump with a little vibration. It doesn't take much vibration to make a dirty connection show up. It does seem to be something of this type happening if the effects do work, verifying the effects card is probably ok.

Our mixture MACKIE CFX 20 give a humming sound as the clip light always on, but this does not happen before, tell me how to stop this

You say the clip light is always on, as the only clip lights on this mixer are on the effects channel and the master output and you do not say which is on there are a number of possibilities. You may have the effects turned up too far as this should not be showing, just maybe blinking, turn them down on efx2 on all strips as well as on the effects processor and see if this helps. If it does you may be able to find where the hum is coming from by gradually increasing each until you find it.

If you are getting the clip on the main mix master and you are not being deafened and the humming sound is coming from the speakers not the mixer you may have a subsonic signal getting into the mixer. Disconnect all inputs and if this cures it go through until you find where it is getting in and sort that.

If the humming is coming from the mixer it is possible that the smoothing caps on the PSU are dying, you do not say if you are getting normal sound as well as the humming from the mixer.

When asking for help please try to give as much information as possible

Effects chip how hard to replace

What makes you think the effects chip is bad? It is LIKELY a fine-pitch DSP that is far beyond what the average tech could do. If you could get one, you would have to take this to a shop specializing in surface mount rework. The chances of this chip being bad is very low. More probable is either pilot error or other circuits, especially those exposed to the external connections.

I have a mackie cfx 16 mixing board. My problem is that , the only way I can get a good signal to the led's for each channel (0 db) is to turn the gain up so high on the channel that it constantly...

No reason to worry about getting signal to the LED's... you set the trim gain so the loudess sound or signal that can happen barely clips or is slightly less. That is the starting point. Watch videos on mixer setup on YouTube. DOn't worry if their mixer is different as the principles are the same.
Mixer fadrs should be around 80% up when system is balanced. ALWAYS use BALANCED cables... eithrt XLR or TRS.

I have a mackie cfx12 mixer. I just added an eq with sub woffer crossover via the main inserts using the proper insert cables. System works great, however when Using a CD player the subs will not work. any...

Sorry, I have looked at the schematics and the TAPE IN jacks are mixed into the MAIN outs AFTER the insert jacks, so your subs will NOT receive signal via the insert from the TAPE IN jacks.
You could make a small passive mixer merging the TAPE/CD before going to the crossover. This would require some non-standard cabling.... The other option is to run the CD into a regular stereo channel rather than the TAPE IN jacks... then the CD will go through the insert/crossover and to the subs as you desire. The last option is to use the crossover at the MAIN outputs instead of as an insert... which would be the CONVENTIONAL way... use BALANCED cables wherever possible.

If I solo something, that level bleeds onto the Main. If everything is down, there is still some bleed over. Sub outs work fine, but then I lose the effects.

The channel solo does NOT kill the subs for the channel, so if you have the subs going to effects and back to the mains that path will still get to the mains appearing as bleed Here is the service manual for the CFX20 which is just more channels of yours.

I have a mackie cfx 12 mk11 mixer and have a faulty mains out channel(xlr & jack) right mains out is ok, has this mixer got micro electronics and can this problem be repaired by any technician

Yes, there are chips in the unit and any COMPETENT tech should be able to repair.

Since both the XLR and the jack are bad, this implies something more.

USUALLY Mackie drives the XLR and the unbalanced jack seperately so the problem would be what drives the unbalanced jack.

CHECK if you have output at the UTILITY left output jack. If you do, the driver chip for the left output main is the problem.

If you don't, the problem may back up farther into the EQ.

A LOT of troubleshooting can be done on these by using the block diagram in your manual showing signal paths.
