Question about Samsung SGH-t629 Cellular Phone
My samsung slider phone only worked for a few weeks at most. The screen started by reversing the image on it. Then it would flip upside down or diagonally or the image would move partially on or off the screen. This would happen when I would slide open the phone and the image would remain that way when turned off and on the next time. The screen image slowly got worse until it completely disappeared. Now the screen is white. Any help please, it will be appreciated. My son has a Samsung T629, only 3 months old. He sat on it and cracked the LCD screen. It still works except of course, not being able to use the screen. If I were to buy a broken phone from someone on ebay (there are a few there right now) that has broken their's in two, but did not break the screen, is it an easy fix and how do I do it? I checked at a cell phone repair shop and they all say it is an expensive fix as I would have to buy the whole top half, not just an LCD as it is a slider phone. Is this true?
Thats not completely true, it is easier to replace just the top half of the phone but you can replace only the LCD. The repair will probably need to be done by somebody who has some experience doing this becaus it can be rather tedious. But it is possible.

MRJAZON is right. This has nothing to do with a software you will just lose your money. The ribbon (flex) cable what is MRJAZON speaking about is http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/SAMSUNG-D600-D600E-LCD-FLEX-FLEXI-RIBBON-RIBON-CABLE_W0QQitemZ160159758970QQihZ006QQcategoryZ67991QQtcZphotoQQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem It is very easy to replace it. First you can take the old one out, try to unbend it and use again. Sometimes it works, but not for long time. The best thing is just to replace it on your self. It's easy, dont worry about ;) L4 Technician
