We have a panafax uf755e that is able to send faxes, but we cannot receive them. Have unplugged the unit to reset, but still does not receive faxes. Any solutions?

It could be a phone line problem, you can check this by plugging a phone into the wall jack and calling a friend if you can carry on a two way conversation then the phone line is ok and the fax machine is the problem. It may be improperly set to the wrong receive mode.

My handset doen't have a ring tone and cannot be used. Also, my machine won't pick up calls.

Try unplugging power and re-plugging first.

Plug a regular phone into the wall jack and listen for a dial tone.

Make sure the phone line is plugged into the LINE port of the fax machine.

What is make / model?

Try unplugging the power cord and re-plugging. It sounds like your scanner assembly is going bad.
