Inspiron Core i5 Laptop. Error: Display driver stopped responding

Dell Inspiron Core i5 Laptop. Getting intermittent error during start up after entering password with desktop photo in background: “Display driver stopped responding and has recovered”.

Often after entering the password, the screen will go black/green and just stay like that until I shut it down and start over again. Or, the desktop photo goes black/green, to desktop photo to black/green again and repeats several times.

Two month old laptop, no extended warranty. Tried to find a display driver update on line, but can't figure out which one to use. I would greatly appreciate advice! Thank you!

Hi there!
You mentioned that's a 2 month old laptop,
From what i'm seeing here you should at least have 1 year of warranty with it if you purchased it online,
For the issue you have there,
Might want to specify what video card you have there.
For the drivers, go to support.dell.com then enter your service tag, make sure your select the right operating system, then you'll be able to see the drivers, update the video card driver and the BIOS,
If the problem persist go to nvidia and check your video card if they have released a new driver update,
Worst case scenario is replacing the video card.

Excuse me, my laptop cannot start. During start they give an error


Try dell forums at ddell.com and dell europe.com. people on those will have the expertise to diagnose your problem. You might get lucky on here but for dell machines that is the place to look, information available there is very comprehensive.

How do i repair my hard drive if there is problem occuring by showing the error code 2000-0151


Although this says Inspiron it should also apply to your unit
It is the steps to doing a diagnostics report and so on. I have never had a problem with the help from dell unlike other brands (HP for example)

From the sounds of this the hard drive is needing to be replaced unfortunately.

Display problem


Take a look at the resolution settings. On desktop, right click in free space, select resolution and see if the resolution can be improved by selecting higher resolution. Ensure the correct driver is loaded. If it isn't go to Dell.com and download the latest drivers.

I have a laptop of dell of model 5420 14R inspiron and it have problem with screen, sometimes screen are fades with white and after few second it automatically removes


That is just a video driver problem, go to support.dell.com and download the latest driver for your video card and install - should fix this problem for you.

Dell Inspiron 1526 laptop won't boot up


The 2000-0147 error is normal as you had no disk in the optical drive to be read during the test. Boot to the Vista DVD and select the repair my computer option (you may have to run the repair process several times depending on the issues with the drive) See if that helps.
