Ok all you have to do is

  1. Go to google
  2. Type your motherboard name and the computer name in the search box eg- Acer t120e+sound drivers OR the motherboard name+sound drivers
  3. and select one of the web pages and download from there

Sir i have installed windows 7 on my comp, but the

There should be a subfolder called "Drivers" or "Audio\Drivers" or "Drivers\Audio". Find an installer for your specific OS/Processor. But you will have better luck if you can get the model number of your motherboard and search on Google for the drivers. Usually motherboard manufacturers have all the drivers on the CD available online for free download. They will also be the latest drivers available, especially new ones for Windows 7.

I had windows vista on my laptop couldnt remember my password on startup so installed windows xp sp2 after installing it i had lost my audio drivers so i could not play music on my system i have tryed to...

Right click on the "My Computer" icon on your desktop display, and then select "Properties" from the bottom of the drop down menu. Select the "Hardware" tab and then select the "Device Manager" box.

Look through the device manager for any "Un-Known" devices that have a yellow question mark next to them.

Right click on the device that is in question, and then select "Update Driver" from the top of the drop down menu, and the "Hardware Update Wizard" will appear and ask for permission to "Connect To Windows Update To Search For Software", select the "Yes, This Time Only" box, and then select "Next".

You will then see "What Do You Want The Wizard To Do?", and make sure that the "Install The Hardware Automatically (Recommended)" box is checked, and then select "Next".

The Wizard will hopefully be able to find a driver that will work for that device and then install it, and also be sure to do the same to any other devices that have a yellow question mark next to them.

This does not always work on all hardware, but at least it usually will find audio drivers and install them.

Dell Resource CD - not working in Windows XP SP3 version

You are using the Dell Resource CD provided by the manufacturer. This CD may not work with new versions of Internet Explorer that come with SP3 installations (if you reinstalled from a Windows XP CD not provided by Dell or if you did the Microsoft SP3 update).
You're only solution would be to use your "Service Tag" number underneath, for laptops (or on the back/side for Desktops), of your computer and go to http://support.dell.com to download the drivers for your specific system. If this computer doesn't have the drivers for you to be able to go to the internet, use a second computer and go to the site. Then download the individual drivers listed (the latest dated drivers will work best).
Once you've downloaded mainly the Video, Network, Audio drivers, use a USB Flash drive (sometimes called USB Key, USB pen drive, USB drive, etc) and copy what's been downloaded onto it. Do not double click on the files while they're on the second computer.
Once on the machine with Windows XP SP3, double click on each downloaded file (1 at a time) and follow the on-screen insctructions to install the driver. You should be fine afterwards. :) Let us know how it goes, and rate us. :)

Where is Linux mbr file

There's nothing like the Linux MBR File. The option to boot to multiple operating systems is controlled by a software called as the "Boot-Loader".
Windows XP and Linux both have their versions of boot-loaders. The Bootloader that Windows XP uses is called the NTLDR, whereas Linux provides many bootloaders (prominent among them being "Grub" and "LILO").

>but Linux is shown in the manage option from the My Computer in Win XP 2.....
That is the control section of NTLDR. So from what I understand you shouldn't have a problem selecting the operating systems.

If you want the Linux bootloader taking control of the boot process, you can always install it.
All you need is a Linux CD and then run the setup for "Grub" or "LILO".

Information about installing Grub or LILO can be found easily on the internet.
