GSI Spotting Scope Manual?,"T" camera adapter? availability?

have a look on ebay, type in t2 under (camera > telescope-binoculars) look for a t-mount similar to the picture added. these t-mounts allow for the focus to be adjusted and the eye piece to remain in place. hope this helps87ec49f6-6cfc-43d9-b599-49b2897eaa42.jpg

Was bird watching this morning, when one of the legs of my bogen tripod collapsed, resulting in my Leica APO-TELEVID 77 breaking in half(literally). I'm the original owner, does Leica's passport warranty...

If you registered the warranty, it may be covered. You'll need to give Leica a call. They will want the Ser. number of the scope when you call.
You can reach them at 1-800-222-0118.
Good luck.

The mount adapter part of the scope that attaches to the tripod has a screw missing (1/4 " metric) and it won't stay tight on the scope with just the large center screw. Where can I get a new screw? or...

Bring it in to your local hardware store (Ace, or Truevalue, etc.), generally one of those places will have just about any nut or bolt you need. Also apply a small amount of locktite before re-installing to screw, this will keep it from falling out.

I have a WO IBIS 80 APO Spotting Scope. How do use it with other 1 1/4" eyepieces? The packaged zoom eyepiece seems to have a threaded attachment to the scope.

sounds like it was designed to use only the eyepiece that came with it. here is an idea...mount the scope on a tripod with no eyepiece in it...now take an 1 1/4" eyepice and place against the scope where you would put the eyepiece ..try to focus..if you cant, then slowly bring the eyepiece away from the scope till you see a sharp image..im sure a machine shop can make a sleeve to screw into your scope and hold 1 1/4" at that point.any questions i can answer call me larry@reichinstruments.com 5088331232

Are you looking set the eye relief or the focus ring?

For eye relief you need to loosen the scope in the rings, mount the rifle to your shoulder with your standard hold and cheek weld. At this point, slide the scope back and forth in the rings until you obtain a full field of view. Tighten one of the rings slightly, dismount and remount the rifle several times to ensure correct adjustment. Level scope and tighten rings a final time.

For focus adjustment (remember that you are using the eyepiece to focus on the cross hair, not your target!) loosen the lock ring and turn the eyepiece until the cross hair is focused. It is best if you check it several times by closing and opening your eye several times. The crosshair should be instantly in focus. If your eye must adjust, then you need to refocus until the focus is instant.

The two dials on the scope are for adjusting the bullet point of impact. They will typically move POI 1/4 inch at 100 yards.
