You need to change your battery. Most likely the circuit in the battery is no longer functioning properly

Batery won't charge new battery n plug

You may have the wrong AC adaptor, Dell is very picky when it comes to Power adaptors, it must be original OEM Dell for the laptop to recognize it, any after market no name brand even though it has the right specs and is made for your model will power your laptop but the circuit to charge your battery will automatically be closed

How to charge new battery in my laptop

as i do not know what laptop we are talking about here i asume its not a notebook
if it is the time is slightly lower (6-8 hours)
a normal lap top 10 - 12 hours.
some super batery laptops come with an own (long) guide how to keep the batery alive.

to keep the batery alive a long period of time charge it from 50% not when its at critical.

If u can take out the batery when you are using cable and its fully charged it also has a longer life time. or just take out the cable when its at 100% and recharge it when it gets to 50%

dont have your computer in the lap it can over heat the computer/batery and the lifte time gets even lower.

Remove the main battery and power supply charger adapter from the laptop, wait a few minute to get rid of any residual charge, now install the battery, power up! if no change remove battery, next plug the power supply back in, power on, if yes! the main battery is bad and needs replacement. If no change reply to this message so I can help you further. If you having low memory issues, the ram needs to be upgraded.

My LAPTOP EVEREX SA 2052T batery does not charge. The power went off as soon as I take the Power cable. Please advice

Normal 0 If the laptop battery is more than 3 - 4 years old then the battery could be worn out. Rechargeable batteries have a finite number of charge and discharge cycles and will lose their charge capacity over time, i.e. won't charge to 100% and gradually the charge reduces until the battery won't charge up at all.
OR The battery shows a 100% charge but when the adapter is disconnected the battery drops off to zero capacity in a very short time.
If the battery drops to an unacceptable charge level then the battery needs to be replaced.

Try to perform power drain on the motherboard.

heres the steps:
take out the battery
unplug the power adapter
press and hold power button for 30secs
put the battery back in
plug in the power adapter
power on the computer

if same issue will happen then you need a battery replacement.

Cannot detect the battery

sounds like the charger is the incorrect Voltage for the laptop/battery.

Did you buy a generic battery or brand specific one?

Check that the charger voltage and the voltage on the battery AND laptop all match

Batery hang problem

batteries have a charge memory in the, when you purchase a new battery the best thing to do is to fully drain the battery before charging it up, this will tell the battery that it needs full charge, if you charge the battery before this it will only charge the battery to a certain percentage.
what you need to do now is find a way to fully discharge the batteries

kind regards

Battery status

Usually laptop batteries lasts about 500 cycles with good performance. If your battery last than a year old and used less than 500 cycles you can look for warranty replacement. Also BIOS update will be good option to enhance battery life and charge capabilities. If you need further assistance please post your question.

Good Luck

Try taking the battery out for 30 secs or so and then replacing it. You'll find a couple of locks on the bottom of the laptop that will release it.
