Please explain what you saw when you started iTunes after shutting your computer down. Is all your music still there and the playlists are gone? Or is your music gone too? Also, we need some more information about your computer and about iTunes. Please tell us your operating system, memory installed, and the speed of your PowerBook (it is a PowerBook, right?). To do this, click the Apple menu, click "About This Mac". It will tell you which version of the OS you have (10.?.?), how much memory (GB), and the speed of your machine (GHz). Also, in iTunes, please click the Itunes menu (top of screen while you're in iTunes), click "About iTunes" from that menu. Tell us what version of iTunes you're running. Thanks and good luck! We'll do our best to help you.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

Transfer playlist from Itunes to Ipod Nano

Open iTunes and plug in your iPod. On the left sidebar there should be your iPod name (If you can't find the sidebar, go to iTunes menu bar, under View, select Show Sidebar), go to your iTunes playlist and drag the songs you want to your iPod. For all of the songs, go to your iPod music library, even if you don't have songs, and on the bottom there should be a blue-ish bar. There might be a box saying "Autofill from iTunes library" click that ONLY if you want ALL songs from your iTunes to your iPod.
If you want to know how to put video or DVD movie onto iPod, I think this step by step guide would help you.

How do I transfer a playlist from I-Tunes to my I-pod?

Connect your iPod to computer, iTunes will detect the iPod automatically, then click iTunes menu "File -> Sync iPod", the songs will be transferred from iTunes to iPod.
Or You may try this ipod transfer, it's an iTunes alternative that can help you manage iPod files including delete, upload, play, copy, etc. It's much easier to use than iTunes. It can also help you manage multiple iPods on one computer or manage iPod on multiple computers, even copy music and video from iPod back to computer or iTunes. So you will not lose your iPod files even though you switch to a new iTunes library. My friends recommend it to me, it works pretty well.

Computer ''shuts down'' usually only when online.

If you re-formatted, it's probably just a coincidence about I tunes.
I would suspect an overheating problem. Open the side cover and check all the fans for dust, especially yhe CPU fan. You can blow the dust out with a can of compressed air. Try re-seating the RAM while you have the cover off. Good luck!

are you connected to to the computer by pc suite. If so try deleting the tunes via nokia phone browser in my computer. if you once played the tunes and closed them in between the music player remembers that and every time you touch the music player key on the right side the tunes may start even in silent mode.Check the music player if one of the tunes is still in the playing menu. Once listen to the tunes completely and then close the music player. Removing them from the playlist may also help.

Music no longer on ipod

What youve probably done is unselected the playlists that was previously on your ipod so you could sync the new playlists. By doing this the ipod would automatically delete the old songs off your ipod and then sync the new ones. I'm guessing youve managed to upload new songs onto your ipod?

It could also be your using a different computer and by syncing the ipod to a new computer it would automatically delete previous playlists.

I suggest using a programme called sharepod where you dont need to use itunes and is much more simpler. The link is below.

sharepod

Hello tululah,

Unfortunately Rhapsody appears to be available only to users with a valid billing address within the USA. Outside of the US you will need to use a different music download service.

Best regards,

I Tunes Help

Unfortunately there is no easy way to do this. You can go from a computer to Ipod but not back the other way. Well at least not in a way that is supported by Itunes and the Apple folk.

There are lots of third party applications that will help you with that though. Check out some of them on the following discussion link on About.com.
http://macs.about.com/od/ipod/a/copy_from_ipod.htm

I haven't used any of these third party applications so I don't know which to recommend. When I had to do it about a year ago, no third party applications existed and I did it the long, slow, painful, manual way...which I wouldn't wish on my worst enemy.

If none of the third party apps work, let me know...and I'll walk you through the manual process.

Good luck!
