I have a hunter ceiling fan that was wired with 2 conductor so the fan is always on when the light is on. I should be able to replace the 2 conductor with 3 conductor to seperate the controls. Yes?

That's correct, you need to add a switch on your wall, so you'll have one switch for the light and one for the fan, and instead of having a black and white wire going from the wall switch box to the fan box you will run 3 wire cable with a black, red and white wire. Black and red will control your fan and light while white will be your neutral. Just remember to separate the wires up in the fan box so your light and fan are controlled separately.

Testimonial: "Thanks. It was wired with a fan/light switch to begin with so I will not have to replace that. Not sure why they skimped on the wire. I appreciate the quick response."

I can hear the motor running but it is not stitching. Feed dogs are engaged.

1. It is likely the motor belt has broken. It is easy to replace. There are many youtubes on how to do this.
2. If the fabric is moving and the bobbin thread is inserted you will have two possibilities.
a. The tension of the bobbin needs to be set, replace thread with fresh thread (good embroidery thread-not Walmart). The thread can be checked by looking at it into a light. If you see fuzz get rid of it.
b. If you have replaced the thread and adjusted the tension and it still isn't sewing it will need to have the timing adjusted by a professional.
ALWAYS REPLACE NEEDLES WITH NEW ONES TO BEGIN WITH.

What to do when foot pedal just stopped working on old Bernina 830

There are a few problems possible. Assuming that there is not a mains (house) power problem, use the following logic to sort out the problem:
1. Do you have a light (assuming that the light bulb is good)? continue to #2.
2. With the machine unthreaded, the presser foot up, and the power cable plugs fully plugged in at the motor and foot control, depress the control to the run position.
Carefully bend and wiggle the cables at the plug locations one at a time. If the motor runs, the cable wires are damaged so you will replace the cable.
3. If available, try a (known good foot control) from another Bernina 830 of that exact vintage.
If the test foot control runs the machine, replace your foot control. Note: If the foot control is a type 213 for very old models, suggest that the control be replaced with a two wire electronic phase type control. (requires the foot control plug end to be cut off and rewired to the new phase controller). These electronic phase controls can be purchased from EBAY. Stay away from the Bernina type 213 control if possible. The type 213 controls have not been available for many years and it is highly likely that these controls are in a used condition, so you will not know if it has been properly adjusted.
If the 830 is a later model machine with the type 232 or 290 foot control and it is determined to be defective, no problem as they can be repaired.
4. If the (known good foot control) still does not work, you can assume that the motor has a problem. Motors for the Bernina 830 are occasionally available on EBAY and other sources.
Note: If the motor brushes have worn out and the commutator has been damaged, the motor is also salvageable.
-------------
Note: Always unplug the machine from the mains power when not in use as per Bernina instructions.

There are usually small screws around the outside of the globe that screw into a recess on the globe with a rubber ring around it to keep the screws from hitting the glass.

Need to know were purple brown and yellow wire off cumbustion motor hook back up to compasetor and circuit board on a carrier 48gs 03609 0301

take off the door panel and look to the inside. It will have a wiring diagram, legend, and color codes for the wires. The combustion motor or inducer fan should be small enough that it doesnt need a capacitor. The indoor fan motor or squirrel cage does.

We have just installed a Hampton Bay Flexible Track Light. For some reason we are not getting power to the track. I have used a voltage tester and it indicates that there is power to the power connector,...

Hello. If, by chance, the switch you are using to control this track light is a dimmer switch you will have to replace it with a common switch. Dimmer switches are not compatible with these flex track lights as they use a transformer to drop the voltage. If that is not the case, disconnect your connections and check at that point to be sure that you have 110 volts of power. A light socket on a pigtail that you can temporarily connect to the black and the white wires is an easy way to check. If you do have power at the ceiling box I would once again hook up the wires. Black to black and white to white. IF after all that it still doesn't work as your transformer is probably faulty. Just exchange it for a brand new one and give it another try. Good luck with it. I have a hunter remote control 85095-02 that came with the Grand Vista fan. The light controller quit working in about 1 month, although the light button on the remote still activates the led. the 3 fan...

There is no way. Only the manufacturer can reconfigure thw remote. That is part of the defect of this product.

If it works fine, leave it and just continue to use it.

Cheers.

Can not start at a slow speed with foot pedal need to now how to adjust start speed

THE FOOT PEDLE IS NOTHING BUT A REASTAT. A REASTAT IS A WIRE WRAPPED AROUND A CONDUCTOR THE WINDINGS START OUT FAR APART AND GET CLOSER TOGETHER THE FARTHER YOU PUSH THE PEDLE DOWN . THE FAR APART WIRES ARE THE SLOW SPEED THE CLOSER ONES ARE FASTER SPEED
THESE WIRES WILL WEAR OUT OVER TIME OR CORRODE OVER TIME AND CAUSE THIS PROBLEM. TRY SOME ELECTRICAL CONTACT CLEANER AND SPRAY THE FOOT PEDLE INSIDE ANY WHERE YOU CAN AND LET DRY. MOST CONTACT CLEANERS ARE NONE CONDUCTIVE AND DRY IN MINUTES
