Hotpoint First Edition 1200 Spin - lint tray?

My washing machine isn't draining properly and is probably blocked with dog fur from washing their blankets. Where is the lint tray? I've taken off the bottom panels front and back and can find nothing!

Miele W1918 washing machine question:

Check the rotor again very carefully - something like a pin or piece of grit, a nylon tag or piece of wood that floats clear can be very hard to spot. Can you turn the water pump rotor manually with something like a long screwdriver, or is it stuck? Will need a replacement if seized as freeing it will only fail again. Some coins or 'Tazzos' - ie kids toys / counters can flip on edge and completely block a hose under the 'right' conditions.
Are you sure the drain tube is clear at its connection with the waste pipe / sink trap? Another possibility is a sock or pants stuck in the sump hose completely blocking it - or have you washed the dogs blanket or bathmat etc that has shed fibres blocking the sump.

Hi, Ive just come home and found my Hotpoint WML720 WASHING MACHINE still full of water with all the lights flashing. It would not pump out and eventually I managed to empty it by continually using the...

That sounds like the drain pump is clogged with large ball of lint or strainer is clogged. The drain pump is in the lowest part of washer machine and more than likely behind that bottom panel. I'm in US and don't have access to parts breakdown so I can't say 100%. But, if you can locate pump, the screen would be attached or you might have to remove hoses to get debris out. Good Luck

I,ve a LG VM-1433IFD model and I,ve had it unblocked and now its coming up on screen as OE fault help

The LG error code OE simply means “the pump is blocked”. Presumably the water isn’t being emptied properly.

A pump, or filter blockage is the most common cause but it could be caused by other faults such as a faulty pump, or even a blockage in the drain hose or somewhere else in the system.

Thank You

Wf310 hotpoint aquarius washing machine wont spin or drain

Power off the mains. The filter is located behind the silver plate at the back of the machine at the bottom. Four screws hold it on. Drain out all the water. The filter is inside the big black rubber hose attached between the pump and the main drum. Remove the plastic clip holding it to the pump unit and then the metal cir clip holding it to the main drum. Inside is a white molded cone and a big white ball which floats. You will find a lot of junk here, clean out thoroughly. To refit put white cone back inside just as you found it, at the bottom, fit ball back into the cone. Attach to the bottom to the drum and re-fasten the cir clip. Finally reconnect the gator to the pump unit and tighten the plastic clip. Check out the pump too before reconnecting.

I do a lot of heavy laundry & dirty laundry in my Maytag front loading machine including horse blankets, saddle pads and dog beds. I occasionally see stuff in the rubber rim trap in the front but it...

Try using something like a toilet brush with a flexable handle. Then use a hosed vacuum to get the dirt out of the vent. Also try pulling the drier out, remove the vent pipe and do the same as before up that way.
Hope that helps. Please let me know.

Will not feed the fabric

Here are a few solutions to check.

* Check your fabric to make sure it isn’t caught on something.

* Check your pressure foot to make sure it’s screwed tightly in place.

* Adjust the pressure of your pressure foot as it may be too light or too heavy for your fabric.

* Check your feed dogs for lint. If your feed dogs are clogged with lint, they're not gripping your fabric properly. Remove your pressure foot and clean out any lint with an old toothbrush.

* Raise your feed dogs if your machine has this function. They may have been inadvertently lowered.

* Check your stitch length regulator, If it’s set at “0” or a very small number, try switching to a longer stitch length.

* Change your needle, it may be damaged.

* Check your needle plate and make sure it’s securely in place.

* Use a “Jean-a-ma-jig” or a “Hump-jumper”. If you’ve been trying to sew over a bump of fabric, such as a thick jean hem, try using this tool (your local fabric store should carry it). It keeps your pressure foot level as you sew over the bump and gives your feed dogs something to grip.

I hope this helps

Goes to spin cycle, then just hums

I believe your washer has a drive coupling. This coupling has two rigid halves with a rubber spider between them, with time the things break... I can speak from experience. Unplug your washer and with the help of someone lean it back to get a look at the coupling (you might even notice a small pile of the black rubber from the coupling) If this is it you can fix it without much issue or cost @ $20 or so.

Hope this helps,

If you washed a dog blanket, then that is probably the cause of your problem.
The bits off it will have blocked the pump or filter.
What you need to do is the following.

Remove the lower back panel of the washer.
Remove the large black hose that is fastened to the bottom of the careful, because you might find quite a lot of water comes out, have a bowl or bucket handy to catch the water.
Inside the hose you will find the filter, remove and clean, make sure that the pump is clean also..
On re-assembly, make sure that you get the hose on properly or you will have flood.
Take particular note of where the hose was fastened on the bottom of the tub, and make sure you have the filter and ball in properly..
This should solve your problem.
Come back to me if you need any further help.
Plz rate my solution.
