Hi i have a Clarion VRX 578 in car dvd player it has an intermittent fault on CD/DVD part of unit. After, between 20 and 60 mins the unit will turn off and then come back on within 30 seconds. This does not do this while in radio/ipod mode. Can you tell me if this is repairable. thanks Ian

Clarion ebrake safety bypass without using toggle switch

Clarion has a brake safety wire that has to switch from open to a ground every time you turn on the unit so therefore you cannot just ground the brake wire it has to switch to ground every time you turn on the radio

MP4, MOV, H.264 are suitable formats for iPod. And u also need a video tool named Pavtube Video Converter to help u convert other movie files to a compatible format with iPod with good quality.
It works for me greatly.

it sounds like you have hooked the power wires up wrong try trace back your wires with this diagram

I would say to take it back regardless of what the problem is. I would say the unit is bad. Does the remote work the other functions? if it does not then the remote could be bad, if the remote does work the other functions, I would think the unit is bad.

They have a bad issue with that. The fans fail all the time inm those clarions... I can sell you a used fan for $40 or if youd like me to repair your unit you could send it to me and i will repair it for a total of $200. ampman out!
