Question about IBM ThinkCentre M51 PC Desktop
There are a few reasons for this. I will go through a list of the most common options for trouble shooting.
1) is the speakers working ? (Test by plugging into an ipod or portable mp3 player)
2) if the speakers are working, is it in the right port. (on the M51 it should be plugged into the Green port)
3) Is the sound driver loaded ? ie if you click on the volume icon, can you mute / unmute it and change the volume ?
If it fails on 1, replace speakers. On 2 plug into correct port, and if you can't manage the volume from the PC then try re installing the sound drivers from your main board's CD, or windows update.
Hope this helps.
