How to tune in for blu ray dvd

You do not tune in your Bluray player but connect using an HDMI cable or Composite cable. If you have a HDMI cable connect the Bluray's HDMI out to the TV's HDMI in at the back and using the TV's remote switch the Input source to HDMI. You will see the image from the Bluray player in high definition.
If you don not have a HDMI cable connect the composite out of the Bluray player using the Yellow/Red/White cable to the TV's composite input ( same three color sockets ) and switch to AV input on the TV. Using this connection won't give you high definition image but will work OK.

P42XHA58EB wont recognize Sony bluray HDMI signal

Lower the HD resolution. If there are standard RCA outputs on your bluray, then you might be able to change the HD resolution that way.

try updating the firmware of the bluray. This is one downfall of blueray is that for newer bluray movies it requires new frimware to process the video :)

For my Samsung BLuray player, can I use an inexpensive USB-wireless dongle or do I need to buy the $80 Samsung model?

You have to buy the Samsung model because the firmware is designed to only recognize that. The good news is the adapter is no longer $80

I just replaced my motherboard after a meltdown with a Msi G31M3 V2 and now I can't get any sound and my Lg Bluray player and burner will not recognize blank bluray media.Any help with this issue is...

This all sounds like software/hardware drivers are missing. If your MB came with on board sound the install files and drivers should be on a CD that came with your MB. The Drivers for your BulRay will have to be down loaded from the Manf. site.

480i is displayed on the 62HM95 even when I play my Sony BluRay

I called toshiba (the television manufacturer) and they told me that the tv recognized the devices and then adjusts to the resolution according to the device of where its receiving the signal (HDMI).In this case my blu ray was not set to the 1080i resolution. Yesterday I set it up and BAM there it was.

PS3 not recognizing any disc

See if a DVD works. For me, I know my Bluray is ruined because I can watch DVDs and play PS2 games fine but anything Bluray does not work. If a DVD does not work, you have more of a problem, if DVD does work you need a new BlueRay which Sony should take care of for you. If you don't have receipt, etc. like me you can buy a new Bluray (KES-400AAA) on Ebay and use this guide to install it http://edpsystemssupport.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=29&Itemid=45.
Hope that helps.
