Question about HP LaserJet 2605dn Printer

1 Answer

The red prints just under the blue, everytime you print blue, creating a shadow. if you print red only, the letters look as if they are out of alignment.

Copies are comming out of the printer with a shadow of the data from about 2" above

This sounds like a developer unit problem. Try just printing a few lines of text with a different colour each time, 1 red, 1 yellow, 1 black, 1 blue. See if it does the shadow everytime, or just on one of the colours. Chances are, one of the cleaning brushes on one of the cartridges is not doing it's job properly.

I have a HP Color Lasterjet 2600n when I print in blue, the printer prints a "shadow" of the letters in a pinky color to the side of the blue text.

calibrate the printer three times then close the prionter at least 30 min.restore on factory defaults (cold reset).

Dell 5110cn Printer Printing Blue Shadows

I did the following and it has stopped printing "shadows". I don't know if it was one solution or the other (or both) that worked.

1.On the face of the printer press the "Menu" button>Admin Menu>Maintrnance>Color Reg Adj>
Auto Correct>Yes
2. "Menu" button>Admin Menu>Maintrnance>Clean Developer>(Pick problem color)>Yes.

Hope it helps

There is a common colour problem with this model printer it is caused by the scanner assembly (there's a fan that blows megenta into the scanner unit).

When color printing, looks blurred, but not.

You need to align the cartriges. If you have the HP software installed on your machine, you can just open that and click on the align button. If not here is the link to download the software:

http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/DriverDownload.jsp?&lang=en&cc=us&pnameOID=446154&taskId=135&prodTypeId=18972&prodSeriesId=446153&lang=en&cc=us

Just select your operating system and then download the North America/Western Europe full software solution under software. This should allow you to align your cartiges. Just follow the instructions when aligning. Hope this helps you out!
