The leapster 2 screen is so dull you can hardly see the writing and programs. Very dark in colour. You can see colour arounf the edge of screen but the darkness overpowers the screen.
I have the R2400 and the photo prints look muddy. I have tried the same picture on another printer and the colors are vibrant. Why the muddy pictures on such a nice printer?
On the printers properties select colour intensity and switch to manual. then select 'set'. And move the light/dark control over to light, around 15 to 21 seems best.

I had similar problem. Kodak suggest replacing the printer head. My printer is only 1 yr. old so I phoned Kodak (0870 2430270 - option1) and they are sending me a new printer head.
Dear friend, your Black Ink Cartridge is Empty thats why your printer is using the Colour Cartridge to produce the Black Colour. This is the reason you are having Dark Reddish Brown colour instead of Black.

2. image set to RGB color (Photoshop)
3. check driver settings
4. try another file
5. try another application
6. ¨supported / recommended¨ epson paper & inks
7. another computer (to pin down where issue is happening)
8. all else fails - the printer needs service (better check your warranty status)
