Question about Akai PT4298HD Rear Projection Television
MY HD TELEVISION BROKE 4 MONTHS AFTER I BOUGHT IT, IT TOOK ME A FEW MONTHS TO FIND THE RECEIPT BECAUSE I HAD MOVED. THE TELEVISION GOT PICKED UP FOR REPAIR BY THE COMPANY AND ITS BEEN 5 MONTHS AND THEY KEEP SCREWING ME AROUND. I CALL EVERY TWO WEEKS AND THEY KEEP TELLING ME ANOTHER MONTH. WORST CUSTOMERS SERVICE I HAVE EVER HAD. COMPLETELY UNSYMPATHETIC, THEY HAD NO IDEA WHAT THEY ARE DOING AND THE WORST CASE IS THAT YOU CANT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT BECAUSE THEY HAVE A VERY EXPENSIVE PIECE OF EQUIPMENT OF YOURS. MY ADVICE IS TO GO TO COSTCO AND BUY A BRAND THAT WONT BREAK IN 4 MONTHS
I find that the most durable HDTVs are made by LG or Samsung. For best image quality, Toshiba and Sony take the cake. It's always worth it to hold off and save up some extra cash - Your downtime will be much more vivid :) Good luck to you.

I have the same problem,
first poser supply lasted just over three years at 92-- foot elevation, the next one lasted 3 months, just long enough to get past parts warranty, and NEC/local tech wants $800 to replace the power supply that took 3 months to get in before.
Nope, just bought a new HD Vizio and moved on. Better picture and BIGGER picture.
