Question about Audio Players & Recorders
Go to this webpage and try to reset the ipod, as some of these people explain. http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20090105122103AAmFBI3. It looks like the device might have just gone into a standby mode.
Sometimes when this happens the LCD screen has been damaged and has to be replaced. You can get one off the internet and replace it yourself, or you can have it serviced. If the resetting didn't help, here is a YouTube page with videos that explain the replacement procedure. http://www.youtube.com/results?search_query=fixing+a+2nd+generation+ipod&aq=f. It's not a really hard job, just tedious. Hope it just needed resetting, though, and good luck- hope this helps.

click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
