Re: is there a reset button?
You need a pro to come in and charge you a arm and a leg.. Just kidding There is no reset button, but there is a fuse in the back of the unit after the power cord that plugs into the back of the machine. Also, you can reset the system by leaving it unplugged for about 15 minutes. But if you popped a breaker then you blew a fuse and need to replace the fuse, your owners manual should give you a schematics to where the fuse is
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

1. First, unplug the dishwasher power cord or turn the circuit breaker off for 30 seconds.
2. Then, plug the dishwasher power cord into the wall outlet or turn the breaker back on and wait 30 seconds.
3. After that, press the Pause / Cancel / Stop button twice to clear the display.
4. Finally, start a short cycle, to check operation of the dishwasher, by selecting a cycle and pressing and holding the start button until the dishwasher starts.
Check the electrical source. Possibly the breaker blew or he plug went bad.
The electrical load varies drastically during a cycle due to heater, motor, etc. If the breaker blew, ONLY reset it ONCE to try as there may have been a serious problem within the dishwasher. ALSO if the unit shares the power with another device that could cause the problem.
you need to check the power only:
1- check the power come to the wall right ,if not
get elecricity man to bring it to plug in the wall
2- check the cord of m/c if it has fuse check it
and replace with same values ampers,....so on
3- if problem still check electricity reach at end of cord if not ,chang cord
4- if you still have problem inform us

Hello Sandiann. First thing to do is unplug or throw the 220v breaker of the supplied AC power. For the Frigidaire or " ELECTORLUX" Pull on the control knobs to remove. Remove the nuts holding the cover in place and carefully remove. Remove the five screws holding the metal support of the controls and lift very carefully. The thermal breaker is located to the top right on the support framing. About the size of a quater with a shaft in the center. The center of the shaft has a black dot. This is the reset button. Your metal support may have a large square opening where you can see the breaker if so reset the breaker with a ball point pen by pressing the black button.
Mark, you probabley blew the thermal fuse located on the main board. Easy fix. Part number 8269213. You can ohm it out to be sure. You have to remove the inner panel to get at the control board. The fuse sits on the top side and clips on. Two wires to it. Use the kit with the heavier wires so it doesn't happen again. Check out the attachment.
will these units (silo and jtrip) start back on their own? if so, it is likely they are heating the water. otherwise it sounds like a logic board, unless there is a defective door switch or sensor issue. electronics seem to be a recurring problem with whirlpool. i would ask whirlpool (electorlux) to either buy it back or fix it. good luck mark
