Question about Microsoft Wireless Controller for Xbox 360 (Blue)

2 Answers

My wireless controller and system seems fine while playing games, but when I put in a DVD, I get the title menu for the DVD, but the controller seems inoperable. It won't bring up the button bar at the bottom of the screen and I can't start the movie by pushing start on the controller. Any Ideas?

Actually, if you go into the system settings, I believe there may be a setting you can change. It is a choice for what controller you can use for videos. The choices are something like "Windows Media Center Controller" or "Both." Choose "Both"

You'll need to either get a dvd remote or sign into xbox live and update it. If that doesn't work, you'll need to use a transfer cable to clear your system cache and then reupdate. If that doesn't work, you'll have to try another solution. Maybe the xbox is too old.

Godfather 2 does not play on my ps3 - freezes at title screen

Try to RESTORE FILE SYSTEM on your ps3.
Follow this guide,

HOW TO GO TO THE RECOVERY MENU OF PS3 SYSTEM

1. Make sure the ps3 is plugged in (stand by mode).
2. Put out your usb cable for the controller and the controller itself (do not connect yet).
3. Hold down power firmly, ps3 will turn on and then turn off, release power button when it turns off.
4. Hold down power again, you will hear a beep and then a double beep, when you hear that double beep release the power button.
5. Now you should be seeing something in your monitor that say "Connect usb controller", do just that.
6. After connecting the controller press PS button.
7. You are now in the recovery menu.
8. To fix the problem of corrupt data you can choose #3.
9. If you want to format your hard drive choose #5. Be aware that this option will delete everything that is in your hard drive.
10. Remember that doing #3 and #5 is not 100% to fix the problem of corrupt data, I say about 70%.

Have a Toshiba SD 220-E dvd p-layer & a dvd in it saying 'play restricted' can we unlock code ?

hi! i hope this code will help you unlock the region code of your dvd.

Put DVD into player - wait for regional code violation screen to appear. Once this
happens press the M (Memory) button on your remote control. Then press 1 for
Title 1 and press play on the remote. This will over-ride the regional code
violation detection menu and you can watch the movie etc by entering the fwd on
the remote control and change chapters etc by using the T (Title/Chapter) button
on the remote control)

DVDs and BDs won't play on my PS3 80gb

Chances are it's a hard drive saving problem, since it can still read blu-ray games. If this really bothers you, then save all data you want to save (game data, game saves, music, photos, etc.) then do a complete system restore, update again if it's still doing it then you know it's a HDD problem. But if it's still under warranty call up sony and they will set up with a fixed unit.

Another stange graphic problem

This may be an indication of the graphics processor overheating. When the card overheats it tends to leave artifacts like black dots. Newer games typically put harder stresses on consoles than older titles. This would also explain why the dots aren't showing up in menus, menus don't require as much juice as game play. I would blow out the system with some canned air and try playing the system in a cool, well ventilated area to see if that helps. Sometimes this can be a permanent issue with the graphics processor and you would need to send it in to Microsoft.
