My lexmark x3430 printer and my computer want comunicate my my computer is a dell with vista

If you have already tried turning off/on the printer, detaching and re-attaching the usb cable but still it didn't help, you might want to reinstall the printer driver. I recommend you detach the printer from your computer then uninstall the software. To uninstall, click on the Windows logo Start menu > Programs > Lexmark 3400 Series folder > Tools > Uninstall. Then restart pc. Also, check if your computer is running on 32-bit or 64-bit operating system by clicking on the Windows logo Start menu > right click on Computer > Properties. U dont define model detail of ur printer.

But there are driver copetibility in vista so u should download vista competible driver for ur printer from lexmark website define in driver cd come with ur printer.

I just bought a new DELL computer with the windows vista program. I alredy instaled the software for my Lexmar X1240 printer with the 1200 series disck. I can not print because each time I try to a window...

Attention Windows Vista Users
If you have installed your printer on your PC using an original Lexmark Driver CD that came with your product and you are experiencing problems when printing, you may have installed the Windows XP driver.

Follow these steps to resolve:
· Disconnect your USB cable from your printer.
· Uninstall all Lexmark printer drivers on your PC.
· Download the correct Vista driver for your model. (From Lexmark Support)
· Install the driver on your PC.

Important - Do not reconnect the USB cable until the install software prompts the question of how the printer is connected.

check power cable of your pc and printer. go to manufacturer website and download printer driver
