Question about Fedders X Chassis A6X08F2A Air Conditioner

1 Answer

Unit keeps beeping and turning itself off and on. Even if you turn it off using the off button it powers itself back on. We finally had to unplug it. What causes this to happen?

Switch On again. If problem repeats it is Micro controller problem. Contact the authorized service center for replacement.

Power went out, now back on but refrige keeps beeping. HELP - how to turn beep off?

look for a reset button on it (back maybe) or even the wall outlet I have seen.

Or try unplugging it for 20 minutes.

My unit shut off now displays E1.

Sharp updated the procedure for resetting the E1 code.

1. unplug unit
2. hold the Power button while plugging the unit back in
3. keep holding the Power button until the unit beeps
4. unplug unit again
5. plug it back in and it should be good

Here is the updated user manual

It turns off

The e1 code is a demand to clean the filter. It means the unit has been running for 720 hours. It does not mean anything is broken...unless it hasn't been running for 720 hours. That would mean the "clean the filter" timer is broken! There are 2 reset methods.

1) Unplug the machine. Hold down the power button while plugging it back in and wait until it beeps (for about 5 seconds). Let go of the power button. Unplug the machine again, then plug it in and try to use it as an air conditioner.

2) Unplug the machine. Hold down the Mode button while plugging it back in. Keep the mode button pressed until it beeps (for about 3 seconds). Let go of the mode button. The machine will start. Turn it off by pressing the power button. Resume trying to use it as an air conditioner.

If neither of these work, the "clean the filter" timer is broken and needs replacing.

my jen-Air has a problem with it continuing to beep. Ive tried to get it to stop by pushing all the buttons. When I pust the off/cancel button it just keeps beeping. Tried the stop timer button and same thing. When I turn on either the bake or convection bake button it automatically just shuts off by itself. It is approx 10-13 years old. HELP, or please tell me to get a new one.

Turns itself on and off

The unit has a timer function and a Sleep timer function. Have you ensured both of these are not on? If thy are off I would guess that either a button is bad and inducting a control signal to the controller or the controller itself is bad and just randomly is setting on and off times at random.
