Disconnected condensation drain on hot water heater.

Tankless or hybrid water heater?

Tankless gas must have special fitting between water heater and vent that has a condensate line fitting. Hot toxic vent gasses traveling up vent pipe cause acidic water vapor to form inside vent pipe that drips back down vent and drips onto heat exchanger and other parts eventually burning hole through expensive metal alloy heat exchanger, rendering tankless computer water heater useless after electric circuitry gets wet and shorts out.

Hybrid or heat pump type computer water heaters must have condensate drain connected to catch pan located just above storage tank and below compressor. Condensation can form on condenser coils and drip into catch pan where there is primary and secondary drain

How do i replace the cracked drip pan in the french door refigerator

  • Unplug the refrigerator from the power source and remove the decorative vent cover at the bottom of the fridge under the door. Some vent covers are screwed on but many just snap onto clip that hold them in place.

  • Pull gently on the exposed front edge of the drip pan and ease it out towards you. The drip pan slides on runners on each side of the bottom of the refrigerator. It may be full of liquid or debris so go slow and steady and then discard it.

  • Line up the new drip pan with the two side guides beneath the refrigerator and slide into place. Use the flashlight if to make sure the drip pan is in the groove on each side.
  • Clean and replace the vent cover by clipping or screwing it into place. Plug the refrigerator back into the power outlet

I have LDF6920 dishwater. There is a leak at the bottom of the door possibly from the vent. What to do?

The drain tube from the vent to the bottom right of door may be clogged with food debris. On mine this tube was not placed at the right place so the water was soaking a foam part and the water was dripping outside the bottom pan. The seal of the vent may need to be replaced but the drain tube is supposed to take the excess water.

My Frigidaire FRS6R35W0 refrigerator has ice in the bottom of the freezer. I took the back pane off and the evaporator drip pan was ful of Ice. I melted all the ice but water would not drain out the drip...

    Good day,
Keep pouring hot water into the drain hole. It can build up quite a way down. Be patient.
If no joy, service techs use a compressed air tank with a hose and adapter inserted into the hose where it terminates in the drain pan. If you have access to something similair then use it, but use very little pressure to prevent damage.
If not you will have to improvise. A tire pump with a short piece of 1/4" tubing inserted into the end of the hose will usually work.

    Hello and Welcome to FixYa!
Actually the leaking water is from the evaporator coil unit.... Under normal conditions,Self-defrost refrigerators usually dispose the water generated during the defrost cycle through a tube or channel that directs the water a pan (Known as Drip pan), commonly below the refrigerator unit.... The channel or tube is clogged and the water is leaking to the refrigerator unit, so you need to clear that contamination....Once the blockage is removed, the generated water will move through that channel/tube directly to the drip pan and there will no water on the top shelf in the refrigerator compartment. Another cause may be the refrigerator may have doorframe heaters to evaporate any condensation on the cabinet frame. If your refrigerator is equipped with a switch inside that says “energy saver” or something like that, while running in that mode the door heaters are disabled. Turn the switch to the opposite setting and wait 24 hours. If the water disappears the problem is solved.

    Best of Luck,

Fridge is dripping directly onto top shelf. It is

Hello, this sounds like you have a blockage in the drain tube, remove panel back/bottom of may see ice build up...melt ice with hair dryer/heat will see a pan below evaporator...melt ice in pan...dry water up in pan with paper you should see a hole in pan that leads to drain tube...pour some hot water in pan..wait a couple minutes..mop up water and repeat this step 2-3 times....once you have done this find some flexible curtain wire or electrical wire..poke down the hole until you see the water it is clear..put back panel back and you are good to go. The reason you see water in the fridge is because the water has been leaking into the freezer and down the vent into the fridge instead of running into the drain hole...Please feel free to comment again if you have any other question. My ac is running all the time and it is dripping water out of the pan at a steady stream

That is normal for the water to drip all the time. It is removing the humidity from your room / home.

    Too much water condensation

Check your condensate drain. It could be plugged. Or perhaps you have a crack in the drain pan.
