Question about Shuttle AV42 Motherboard

1 Answer

Motherboard...and freezing Hi! I did look those signs on motherboard but did not find any...atleast not from the spot i should put them in, did u mean from all over the board or some specific spot? And other problem: My pc keeps freezing everytime i do something that requires more memory usage...i can do stuff on Internet but cant play any games longer than 10 minutes. I checked the temperatures with Everest and it showed rising temp from about 50C to about 90C (even if fans are running perfect) after playing some games which needed more memory. Is it possible i damaged something while cleaning pc? I did Remove cooling fan from motherboard to clean it from dust... Thank You!

The portion between CPU and CPU sink must be clean, to work well for CPU cooling. So remove the fan gently and clean the surface of sink which touches on the CPU, also clean the CPU surface which touches on the sink.

hmm regarding connection if you can post a picture of your board i will mark on it where to make connection.

Gateway laptop,mx6912 has a 02FC error

PU fan died, or atleast the motherboard believes it has. That's what the error means, but can be bypassed by hitting F1 at the boot screen..

New build with asus M4A79XTD EVO and AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition Deneb 3.4GHz 4 x 512KB L2 Cache 6MB L3 Cache Socket AM3 125W Quad-Core Processor. When you hit the power button, the fans start but...

It almost sounds like a mistake at the pc start switch and reboot switch.

Check that you have your pc start wires from the front start button of the case, in the correct spot on the motherboard.

Also remove the memory sticks and reseat them.

The green light on the motherboard is good it means your getting power from the power supply.

The start and reboot switch wiring can be tricky if one plug is in the wrong spot on the motherboard.

Usually phone freezing is a sign of the software corruption. Re installation the cell's software will solve the problem. If the software updation doesn't solve the problem then there could be the problem with the motherboard..

Motherboard BIOS

Hi, your motherboard and Bios settings are both ok.
The problem is most likely your hard drive. I reccomend you check this by pressing the delete key repeatatadly at start up to enter the bios settings. at the first screen you should see if your hard drive is recognised [ primary master]. It may be time for a new drive or for a reinstall of your operating system.
