Lens doesn't go in or out - just whiring sound and focus error message

these are really small parts & tend to pop out of place with little impact, you can take the lens apart & pop the out of place piece back in if it's not broken

Try checking to see if the lens is a little crocked, look at it real closley. If it is then try and pop, or bend the lens back into place, and then turn your camra on and the camra may work propelry.

I had the EXCACT smae problem, and it worked for me.

I have done this with several camera. Some times you can pop it right back into place and sometimes you have to get a new lens. Iwork on these cameras just about every day because of lens issues. It is just the luck of the draw. Hope this helps if you cannot get it working repairs for that problem can run from 75.00 and up. Just FYI good luck.
